About this Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)  The Advanced Reservoir Engineering VILT course will address modern practical aspects of reservoir engineering during 5 half-days packed with lectures, virtual exercises, discussions and literature reviews. The participants' understanding of fundamental concepts and modern practical reservoir engineering methods will be deepened and a wide range of topics will be addressed. The focus will be on practical applicability. Use is made of practical and actual reservoir engineering problems and examples to illustrate relevant subjects. By attending this VILT course, participants will have a deeper knowledge of modern reservoir engineering practices for reservoir development and production, including the construction and use of reservoir models. Target Audience The VILT course is intended for experienced reservoir engineers with prior technical or engineering exposure to production activities. Petroleum engineers and geoscientists who require more than general knowledge of reservoir engineering will also find this course useful. Participants are invited but not obliged to bring a short presentation (max of 15 minutes) on a practical problem they encountered in their work. I’ve been learning since I was 10 years old and have fallen in love with playing Guitar over and over again over the last 30 (or more) years. I started teaching Music in 2003. At the time I was doing a World Music degree at SOAS, studying everything from West African Blues to Indian Raga. My first teaching gig was at an after school club and I immediately loved teaching Music. After graduating I got a job as Music teacher at Carlton Primary School and over the next several years I taught Music and Guitar for Hackney and Camden Music services. This gave me the opportunity to work in many different schools, teaching whole classes, small groups and one to one lessons. Working in such a wide variety of settings was the best experience any young teacher could hope for.  In 2012 I got my teaching qualification form the University of East London and went to work for Beal High School in Ilford. I started as a Guitar/Music teacher and then moved into their Autistic provision as a class teacher. This really made me aware of the importance of teaching in a way that suits the individual’s needs and avoiding a ‘one size fits all’ approach to education. In 2015 I started work as a Music teacher for Harmeny Education Trust in Edinburgh. Harmey provides for children who have experienced significant trauma in their early lives and takes a therapeutic approach to education. It’s a great place to work and we’re now working on expanding from just Music lessons to doing media projects as well – making Youtube videos and podcasts and exploring all sorts of ways to record and express ourselves. I have always done small bits of private teaching alongside school work and in January 2020 I decided to start a proper Guitar teaching business. And then 2 months later the pandemic hit and lockdowns started! Her main areas of focus this year are adult fiction and non-fiction, as well as non-fiction for 7+, and MG and YA fiction. In Fiction, Megan is keen to see high-concept love stories (think The Flat Share or The Lock In) for both commercial and reading group readers. She’d love to see those familiar romance tropes – enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, love triangles, forbidden love etc. – with underrepresented characters at the centre. She is also looking for historical fiction and gothic horror (think Laura Purcell, Stacey Halls and Silvia Moreno-Garcia) – anything that has a creepy, uneasy undertone is likely for Megan’s list. Megan is also actively looking for upmarket fiction and would love to see layered family drama, contemporary stories about life today and darkly comic novels that explore a specific time, place or experience. In Non-Fiction, Megan is keen to hear from experts in their field talking about topics relating to film, music, true crime, popular culture, history and issues from largely unrepresented perspectives. She is keen to see memoir, narrative non-fiction and essay collections. In Children’s and YA, she is keen to see contemporary YA with humour, and romance at the heart – fun and emotional stories that appeal to the interests and issues of the teenage readers. She’d also love to see thrillers and horror stories for this age group too. It’s unlikely that high fantasy novels for YA readers will be right for her, but she is keen to see stories with fantasy elements in a real world setting. On the younger end, Megan is looking for funny, contemporary middle grade – think Louise Rennison and Karen McCombie – and anything creepy and spooky for 8-12 year old readers too. She’d love to find something like Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and is keen to find original adventure stories in both fantasy and realistic settings.
