Pole jams run at the same time that another class is running at the other end of the studio.  Class/course members receive priority over poles (due to paying a higher rate) so you may be required to share a pole with another jammer if we are busy, however most of the time you should have a pole to yourself.

Course Details Please note there is an additional charge for both OP & Sup units needing to be completed via re-assessment, please call the YCDI team if you are unsure - 01782 438813. If your streetworks card is about to or has already expired, you will need to take a NRSWA reassessment course. You are not able to work on a streetworks site with expired certificates. You can take reassessments at anytime before your certificates expire and the remaining time left before expiry is now added to your new card. For example, if you take your reassessment with 6 months still remaining, it will be added to your new card when you receive it, resulting in 5 years and 6 months on your card expiry. If you completed your NRSWA Operative or Supervisor course with us, we will advise you that you will need to complete the reassessment course within 3 months of the expiry date. This training course has been designed to give all staff the knowledge of how to safely use a Vehicle Fire Blanket in the event of a fire. Those who attend the course will be taught how to safely deploy the blanket, remove the blanket and clean up and re-pack the blanket for its next use. As part of the training, the attendees will also be shown and taught the best practices for handling the fire blanket including the necessary steps of a periodic check of the blanket. Another key aspect to the Vehicle Fire Blanket Training Course is educating people on the possible fire situations with electric and hybrid vehicles and how to identify potential fire issues and risks. The course will end with a survey of the customers site to identify the best location for the fire blanket(s) to be located and determine any signage and additional equipment which may be required.

Electric Vehicle Technicians have had access to certified training at different levels of competency for a number of years, but this has not been the case for Vehicle Dismantling Technicians until now. Vehicle repairers have been taught how to diagnose faults on Electric or Hybrid vehicles, make them safe, repair or replace the high voltage component and then put the vehicle back together and make them work. Vehicle dismantlers need to know how to assess Electric and Hybrid vehicles, store them properly, make them safe and dismantle them, store the parts and ship them out for re-use, repurposing or recycling, so the accredited and certified training for vehicle repair technicians met some of the criteria for dismantling but not all. Electric Vehicle Dismantling Training raises the professional standards of the vehicle dismantling and recycling industry, provides consistent training standards across the world, helps develop knowledge and understanding, enables team members to grow their own abilities, and achieve accredited training.

This IMI qualification is designed for technicians who maintain, diagnose and repair high and low voltage operating systems on electric/hybrid vehicles. It contains the skills and knowledge required to work safely around a vehicles high and low voltage train system, whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance. This course will also cover working safely around a vehicle that may have has damage to its high energy/electrical system.
