The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) formerly known as PTLLS, has been designed to introduce teaching for individuals who aspire or currently work in adult education. This includes FE colleges, training providers, workplace training departments and/or Local Authorities. It is a nationally recognised qualification and is also often the preference for employers to source as an accredited train-the-trainer qualification. This qualification includes written assignments and a practical micro-teach session, which can be completed remotely. Online Remote Tutor-led Sessions This version of the course allows you to attend two days of online sessions led by an experienced tutor. Then come back online 2-3 weeks later to deliver your micro-teach session to your peers. Use this gap in time to prepare your micro-teach and complete the written work for the qualification. Before this she worked in a primary school reading books with children every single day and discovering exactly what they like to read. She loves books that touch on the gritty realisms of life such as the writing of Louise O'Neill and Holly Bourne. Emily is also on the lookout for middle grade of any kind; everything from authentic and emotive to humorous adventure. LOOKING FOR: ADULT FICTION, NON-FICTION Publisher / editor Scott Pack is now in his third decade working in the world of books. During that time he has been Head of Buying for Waterstones, worked for publishers big and small - including a lengthy spell at HarperCollins - and taught numerous workshops and classes on all aspects of writing. These days he splits his time between writing his own books, editing other people's, teaching the editors of tomorrow as part of the Oxford Brookes University MA in Publishing, and he is one of the question setters for BBC's Mastermind. His latest book, Tips From A Publisher, is out now.  As a publisher, Scott has published across most genres in fiction and a wide range of non-fiction and is happy to read any style of writing. He will assess your sample and provide feedback on any issues he identifies, the manuscript's commercial potential and what steps he would advise before you submit to agents or publishers. Scott is very direct with his feedback, so expect robust, but always constructive, comments! This qualification recognises the skills, knowledge and competence required of an individual in order to work in an unsupervised capacity, including the values and principles of adult social care and the ability to plan and deliver chair–based exercise to either disabled adults or frailer older adults.

The qualification is aimed at learners already working or preparing to work in industry that is identified within the company's risk assessment of First Aid. The qualification has a recommended course duration of 3 days; however the course duration may be increased to meet additional learning needs if required but not reduced.

Fiction-wise, she works on a hugely broad list for expansive commercial genre fiction and is on the lookout for historical fiction, upmarket women’s fiction, clever commercial thrillers, romance and some SFF, particularly those with a dystopian slant, or earth-bound science fiction, however that comes. Kate will also look at YA, though is not the right fit for fantasy. On the non-fiction side, Kate has an impressive list of clients across the commercial spectrum. She's on the lookout mainly (although not exclusively) for music titles, history and broad-spectrum popular science, but is open to anything that feels like a fresh and original way of looking at the world.
