A wonderful opportunity to take time out and align yourself with the natural flow of energy of the season. At this time of year we focus on our lungs, our breath and our strong and healthy immune system. Just as the leaves are falling from the trees, nature supports us to let go of that which we no longer need and to appreciate that which is of value in our lives. Breath is life, it is the energy or “Qi” that sustains life within every cell. When we breathe well our entire body receives the energy it needs. When we reconnect with our breath we become calm, aware and in control and we can begin to bring balance to our lives and access places of deep peace within. In the morning we will practice some simple qigong exercises, movements and meditations to access the deeper energies within us. Then its time to enter the woods together to connect with the living Earth. As we walk through the woods, we will take time to pause and play with our Qigong moving meditations, listening to the forest around us, waking up our the wild within us. After a delicious lunch, we will lie down and relax into the support of the ground to receive a deep healing Breathwork Session. Puppy training classes and dog training classes are suitable for general dog training and relationship building. Classes are run in line with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Traioners) code of ethics, and training techniques are based upon positive reinforcement, using dog treats or dog toys and play as rewards for completing the actions we ask the puppy or dog to complete.    Classes will be limited to 6 people, to ensure I can circulate and provide individual feedback relevant to your puppy or dog training. We will teach foundation behaviours, with the benefit of being in a dog training class environment, which relies on your dog working around the distraction of other dogs. Classes will also teach you to effectively communicate with your dog and give you the skills to practice outside of classes and implement the training in your every day life, in a rage of environments. Puppy training classes and Dog training classes last 1 hour. They are run on Friday mornings in Bishop's Stortford. The QA Level 2 Award in Principles and Practice of Moving People Safely (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people.  This 1 day course provides candidates with a clear understanding of the principles of moving people safely and includes the opportunity to practise and apply these principles in a variety of situations; individually, in a team, and with the assistance of equipment.  Candidates will leave the course with the knowledge and skills required to move people safely whilst ensuring that the risk of personal harm is reduced and that health and dignity are retained.

Focusing on you and your dog outside of a group class setting, in a 1-2-1 dog training session, can be really useful for you and your dog. We can focus on specific goals you may have, from teaching a dog a new game such as retrievals or flirt pole, to training for specific situation such good dog manners when guests come to our house. We can also develop a training plan to help address existing undesirable behaviours your experiencing such as your dog pulling on lead, your dog not performing recall, dog to dog reactivity, dog to person reactivity or even your dog chasing birds or squirrels.   1-2-1 dog training sessions are typically 1 hour or 1.5 hours long, depending on the issue, or number of things you want to look at in a single session. Training can be carried out in your home/ garden or out at an agreed location, such as a local park, if suitable for you and your dog's particular issue. I am also happy for you to travel to me to train your dog at an agreed location. 1-2-1 dog training prices: 1 hour = £60, including follow up report. 1.5 hours= £90, including follow up report. (Longer sessions can be arranged by agreement, priced on an individual basis.) Hi, I’m Ondine a dog walker and trainer based in the Rhondda Valley. I have been training dogs since I was 8 years old when I finally persuaded my parents to allow me to get my first dog, Sam an incredibly naughty Border Terrier, Jack Russel cross. My life has led me to love and train all types of dogs from German Shepherds to Cayman Islands street dogs like Rosa. I have trained dogs to fight crime with the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service and have interned with the Miami Dade Police Department K9 Unit. I have also been lucky enough to train Flyball with the wonderful Pam Martin and the Top Dog Flyball Team as well as be coached by the Canadian Flyball champions and world record holders, Team Spring Loaded Flyball. All of this experience and fun has led me to be a firm believer that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
