Fun with Felt Flowers

By flights-of-fantasy

Fun with felt flowers gives beginners all the basic information to learn felting around a resist. In the three and a half hours, students will make two different flowers, using different techniques, along with different centres. Workshops start at 10am. I can teach up to nine people here and I can also travel within 20 miles if someone wants a group of friends (minimum 5 participants) in their own house or school. Fabulous idea for a hen party! Please note, though, I do charge mileage. If you have a larger group (say WI or class parents) I am happy to run workshops for up to 20 people in your own venue. My workshops are not timetabled, so there is a great deal of flexibility on dates - just get in touch and we'll sort out a day to suit us both! Please also check out my other listings for Workshops in a Wallet. These include Fun with Felt Flowers and Gone to Seed at Home, covering much of what you would learn with me here in West Horsley, as well as newer workshops - Loving Lavender and Creepies and Crawlies. While I won't be able to answer queries as they arise, I will be happy to answer emailed questions if you have any as you progress through the workshop instructions or you can telephone me between 9.30am and 4pm. Please note I cannot teach children without a responsible adult accompanying them and both must be booked on the course. What's included in the price? All materials are included and brooch pins/necklace ribbons for the finished flowers. Additional small packs of felt will be available at a nominal cost Tea and coffee are included. There is a reliable taxi service from Horsley station for about a fiver or I can collect just 3 people! Cancellation policy Easy - Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts

CFS Film Club - 'Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters'

4.4(69)

By Central Film School

Date: Monday 27th November Location: Studio A Time: 4pm Writer turned director Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, First Reformed) created a unique, avant-garde biopic about notorious Japanese author Yukio Mishima, who embraced Japan's traditions and fought against the gradual westernisation that became common following the end of World War Two. Using adaptations of sections of his novels, as well as traditional recounting of real-life events, this film sticks out as one of Schrader's best, and continues to inspire awe and heated discussion years later.

North City, Dublin 1,

It's one thing to learn tax from lectures and textbooks but it's something else entirely to make sound decisions regarding tax planning and compliance based on a wide range of information - yet, this is what's required at professional tax exam level. Our intensive classroom based revision courses are aimed at enhancing your tax knowledge and understanding as well as helping you to develop a capacity for analysis, reasoning and solid decision making thereby PASSING your tax exam and in turn securing your professional Accounting or Taxation qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, AITI, ADIT and CTC). Please be aware that we do not provide an online option - All our courses are classroom based. As a result of the Covid Restrictions, we are closed at this time. TAX GRINDS is a professional tax training service run by an experienced team of Lecturers, Tax Advisers and Accountants headed by Claire McNamara. Our main objective is to provide YOU with the necessary skills and confidence to PASS your tax exams in the shortest possible time frame. If this is your first attempt or if you're repeating more than once our bespoke courses cater for your requirements. We tailor the content and pace of our training to suit the needs of individuals and small groups (maximum capacity twenty). All our courses encourage and faciliate questions and answers to ensure you keep up with the material and build up the necessary technical tax skills to PASS your professional exams. We focus on exam success so our training is built around mock exams, reviewing past papers, improving exam techniques and enhancing learning strategies. All our courses include an exam paper correcting service whereby you complete exam standard questions at home which we then correct for you and highlight areas for improvement well in advance of the exam. This has proven to be very popular with individuals who realised that their exam technique was letting them down in the past and once they practiced structuring and answering questions without the aid of the sample solution they wrote significantly better answers and passed the exam.

Ned Shelton has worked with internationally operating clients for some 25 years, whilst based in Australia and in Europe. Ned’s career has been focused on advising internationally operating clients. Historically his specialisation has been international tax, tax treaties and related areas, however in recent years Ned has invested most of his time in connection with the Australian (Sydney) office. Ned and his team in Australia work solely with non-Australian based clients – whether they be exporting to Australia, setting up operations in the form of a fully-fledged operating company or perhaps with just one part-time employee in Australia. Ned’s work these days covers a wide range of business, tax, legal, accounting and administrative advice and assistance to this specific target group. Under the banner of Sheltons-SITTI, Ned has organised and chaired many conferences and conducted numerous courses on international tax in various cities throughout the world. Ned has conducted courses on an in-house and open basis in 25 cities in Europe, as well as in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Delhi, Sydney, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Mauritius and Curacao, often several times in each location. Among current in-house clients are the South Korean tax office (NTS), the Mexican tax office (SAT) and Shell (Royal Dutch Shell). Apart from the Sheltons-SITTI courses and conferences, Ned has spoken at more than 80 international tax conferences organised by other parties including universities, professional bodies, government bodies, accounting networks and private firms, in some 35 countries. Ned is continuously consulted by clients from all over the world on international tax matters, such clients ranging from individuals and funds to publicly-listed multinationals. Ned has written a 650-page book on The Application and Interpretation of Tax Treaties at the request of Butterworths Tolleys / Lexis Nexis UK, one of the world’s most highly regarded legal publishers. Ned qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia in 1983 and holds degrees in Commerce and in Law from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. He was a Tax Manager at Arthur Andersens in Sydney before moving to Europe. Before Arthur Andersens he was with Mann Judd (now HLB Mann Judd) in Sydney. The Sheltons office in Australia avails of Ned’s knowledge of the tax, legal and business circumstances of many countries. Sheltons is now in its 25th year of business – Ned having commenced Sheltons in the Netherlands in the 1990’s. Apart from his native English, Ned speaks Danish and reads Dutch, Norwegian and Swedish.
