Level 4 CET course is a first stage teaching qualification which has a teaching/training practice requirement. This qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers. Formerly this courses was known as CTLLS. Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will have a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners. They will be able to use initial and diagnostic assessments and plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning. They will also be able to assess learning and use appropriate resources to support effective learning.  THE QUALIFICATION IS FOR: • Learners who have just started a teaching/training role. • Those who work, or want to work as teachers/trainers in the further education and skills sector. • Teachers/trainers who are seeking career progression in their area of work those working with learners on a one- to-one basis • For individuals who teach in industry • For individuals who work with learners on a one-to-one basis • Learners who have already achieve some Learning and Development units that can be counted in this qualification • Assessors who wish to achieve a teaching/training qualification. LEARNING OUTCOMES: This course provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills for a career in teaching. You will study six units which build to a minimum total of 36 credits on the Regulated Qualification Frameworks (RQF). The four units are: • Understanding roles, responsibilities & relationships in education & training: 3 credits • Planning to meet the needs of learners in education & training: 3 credits • Delivering education and training: 6 credits • Assessing learners in education & training: 6 credits • Using resources for education & training: 3 credits • Inclusive practice: 15 credits REQUIREMENTS: The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a requirement for anyone looking to work in a Teaching role in an associate position. This role carries less responsibility than that of a full teaching role. It is a nationally recognised qualification which allows you to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma, bringing you closer to being able to gain your QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills). All learners, whether pre-service or in-service, volunteer, paid or unpaid teaching, must have access to a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice. COURSE OUTLINE: Chapter 1: Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. Chapter 2: Understand the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education & training. Chapter 3: Understand ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. Chapter 4: Be able to implement the minimum core in planning inclusive teaching and learning. Chapter 5: Assessing learners in Education and Training. Chapter 6: Planning and preparation to meet the needs of your learners. Chapter 7: Using different resources for Lifelong learning Sector. Chapter 8: Equality and diversity. Chapter 9: Understanding and managing behaviors in a learning environment. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: The approved age range for this qualification is 19+. Learners should be qualified/ experienced in the subject they intend to teach, have access to 30 teaching practice hours and possess good levels of language, literacy and numeracy. STUDY METHOD: You can complete this course either through Distance Learning / Online or Classroom based. Level 4 CET distance learning course is done at your own pace with a Tutor’s support & guidance. All necessary materials will be sent to you by royal mail special delivery once you book the course. Once you book this course, you will be given up to 4 months to complete the assignments. COURSE ASSESSMENT: There is no formal examination is required, but at the end of the course you need to submit a portfolio assignment. HOW MUCH THIS COURSE COST?
