In 1944, the further expansion of degree offerings led to the school’s name being changed to Northwestern State College. In 1970, the college achieved university status and was renamed the title it still holds today: Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Ever-growing, Northwestern State also serves the region at its off-campus instructional sites in Shreveport, Alexandria and Fort Polk. Since its inception, NEN has worked with 500+ academic institutions including the founding institutions of its network IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad, BITS Pilani, S P Jain Institute of Management and IBAB. NEN spent its initial years creating and establishing student E Cells actively running activities, competitions and start-up sessions across hundreds of campuses; trained 1500+ faculty in ‘doing experiential entrepreneurship programs’ including workshops and courses on campus; helped spur the development of 100+ entrepreneurship and innovation centres within its network institutions; and enabled 100,000s of students to get the exposure, and develop skills in entrepreneurship and venture creation. Music has been at the center of my universe since I was a kid. I am so appreciative all these years later to still be doing it full time as my vocation. I've worked with some of the most talented people in the music industry as well as traveled all over the world doing what I love. Now I live in the U.K. and I have the great privilege of continuing my passions here. Living a life of passion is important, and I can't thank my parents and all my mentors enough for all the support they've given me over the years. From receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance in Drumset, Classical, and World Percussion, to working with the Grammy's, to spanning all 7 continents on the planet as a performer, I am extremely grateful. I've worked professionally in virtually every genre from Jazz to Pop, and enjoy doing so. I truly love being a freelance drummer.
