Giving is part of the fabric of our community at TSP and what makes our school so special. Our staff give their time and expertise to create a memorable education for our children, and the children give so much energy and enthusiasm to their work. We would also like to invite members of the wider TSP community to give time, talent or treasure, however they can, in support of our school to make a direct difference to our children’s lives. Recent projects that have been supported / funded include: · Contributing to the refurbishment of the Hall through purchasing a new projector and speakers · Improving year 3 and 4 classrooms · Sourcing new ICT equipment · Extra workshops to further enhance the school’s curriculum The school’s current focus is on: · enhancing the Year 1 playground area. This small, contained area is very tired and in need of some improvements to create a stimulating, engaging space for play. Your contributions will make a difference every day for the children who pass through year 1 each year. · improving the Key Stage 1 playground which is a thoroughfare for the school and is also used as the play area for Clubhouse, our wrap around care service. · Following the refurbishment of the school hall which has improved central space for the children to use throughout the day, to now also upgrade the sound and lighting equipment which would further enhance our school performances and workshops. We aim to raise a minimum of £5,000 each academic year to support projects such as these – the more we can raise, the sooner our children can benefit. We know that giving money isn’t always possible, so here’s what you can do, whatever your circumstances:

Practical Spanish for Travel (online)

Online group class (between 4 and 8 participants). - Duration of the course is 8 weeks, 1.5h/week, so a total of 12h. - Classes are held on Thursdays between 6.30-8pm. - All materials are included in the price of the course. - A 30-min online catch-up session is also included in the price of your course, so if you miss a class you can schedule this with your teacher to go over the content that was covered and ensure you stay on track. - The price of the full 12h course if £160, which works out as £13/h. This course is right for you if... - You have zero or very little knowledge of Spanish (yes, even if you can order a drink or two and ask for the bill!) - You can say and understand some words in Spanish but can't really string a sentence together. - You would like to learn enough Spanish to have basic conversations while on holiday and be able to go to a restaurant or visit a place without worrying that they won't speak English. - You feel that you should 'make an effort' to learn Spanish since you travel to Spain so often you could be fluent by now. During this single three-hour session, we will be meeting in the charming streets of Edinburgh, where we'll embark on a leisurely walk (weather permitting) and indulge in some wonderful Spanish tapas. As we stroll and enjoy some food, we'll refresh your Spanish skills, covering all the essential vocabulary and structures you're likely to use during your upcoming holiday. One non-alcoholic drink of your choice is included in the price of the course, however food isn't (but the tapas are worth every penny!). We offer flexible location options – just let us know your preference. You will leave feeling confident, motivated and ready to speak Spanish while abroad. *If you would like to take part in this session with your partner or a friend, you can do so! There is a £20 charge per additional participant, with a maximum of three participants per session including yourself.
