A very warm welcome from Stagecoach Performing Arts Totton. We provide quality training in singing, dance and drama for children aged 4 – 18 years, in an environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential. Whether children come to build their confidence, make new friends or just have fun – or indeed if they want to follow a professional performing arts career – we give them the tools to help them achieve their goal. We set ourselves high standards, and the students work hard to achieve them, but always with a sense of fun and enjoyment. Our students take part in full-scale costumed shows on our own stage, and at larger professional venues. Throughout the year students can also participate in West End masterclasses led by cast members of current shows. No audition is required for new students – all they need is enthusiasm, commitment, and a love of performing arts.

Farnham Music and Drama is a place for everybody to come along and enjoy music and drama at all levels. We provide private tuition in a range of instruments, music theory and drama. We offer various classes for children from pre-school to year 6 and singing groups and a string ensemble for children of all ages. Musical theatre and drama classes for children from year 1 and up are also offered. Adult classes include two ensembles and two choirs. Our aim is for everyone ot have a go, discover something new and have fun. The Studio Based in a purpose built music and drama centre in South Farnham, Farnham Music and Drama is a lively centre of learning for music, drama and the performing arts for all the local community with frequent opportunities for everyone to perform. The Museum of English Rural Life is owned and managed by the University of Reading. We use our diverse and surprising collection to explore how the skills and experiences of farmers and craftspeople, past and present, can help shape our lives now and into the future. We work alongside rural people, local communities and specialist researchers to create displays and activities that engage with important debates about the future of food and the ongoing relevance of the countryside to all our lives. We were established by academics in the Department of Agriculture in 1951 to capture and record the rapidly changing countryside following World War II. The Museum is based on Redlands Road in a building originally designed by Sir Alfred Waterhouse in 1880 for local businessman Alfred Palmer, of the Huntley & Palmer biscuit company. The house then became St Andrews Hall of Residence in 1911, and in 2005 a modern extension was built onto the house for the Museum. The Museum was awarded £1.8million from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) in 2014 for the redevelopment of the galleries, reopening in October 2016. The redevelopment strengthens and renews our links with agriculture as well as enhancing our position in supporting engagement opportunities for students and academics across a wide variety of disciplines, nationally and internationally. The MERL and Reading Museum are currently in a strategic partnership as part of the Arts Council England National Portfolio 2018-2022. As Museums Partnership Reading we work together to provide cultural opportunities for Reading’s young people and diverse communities, through schools, volunteering, digital engagement and exhibitions. I run two different classes depending on your child’s age. Jolly Babies is from newborn up to roughly 15 months and Music with Mummy classes which are from 15 months to pre school age. Jolly Babies is all about having a little fun. The songs we sing are usually original but there are also some well known ones in there too. All the songs are short and very sweet making them easy to learn. Babies love repetition so each song is sung usually at least twice. In each class, there is singing in the main, a short percussion section where the babies get to have a play with some basic instruments such as egg shakers, bells, hand drums etc. Finally, at the end of the class, there is a very short listening section where we turn the lights off and have a cuddle with their special grown up. I usually do bubbles during this part too which they love. Music with Mummy classes are very similar but we introduce a theme each half term as well as a basic musical concept, for example, loud and quiet, short and long etc. For this class the children need to be confident on their feet as it is a little more involved than Jolly Babies. Both classes are 30 minutes long and there is a maximum of 10 children per class.

Eleanor’s career path has been firmly rooted within the disciplines of Drama, Dance and Music. Having initially trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Academy of Dance, London, under the instruction of June Mitchel, Eleanor went on to gain a degree in Music, specialising in the voice. Post degree, Eleanor’s work has taken her into the film industry, television productions, modelling, a singing residency in Mayfair and even a record deal. She was among the first group of postgraduates to be awarded the Royal Academy of Dance’s Diploma in Dance Teaching Studies, and Eleanor is currently completing her MA Education (Drama). Alongside her pedagogical studies, Eleanor taught Drama, Dance and Musical Theatre at a further four independent schools in Ascot for over a decade. She and her wonderful team currently deliver the co-curricular Performing Arts provision at 7 schools and colleges within Surrey and Hampshire. “I have an immense passion for teaching and feel privileged to have such an enriching career. Through my teaching, I strive to make the studio a fully inclusive, inspirational environment in which students can develop and have their talents nurtured.
