This one day silver bangle making course lead by jeweller Kirsten Hendrich will introduce you skills and techniques required to design and make your own silver sterling bangles. You will learn how to size bangles, how to solder, texture the metal, cut out a charm, and also polish your designs. You will be provided with all the silver required to make two stacking bangles and a charm to accompany them. This is an excellent starting project for a beginner. For those with more experience, it is an opportunity to develop your skills further. Many of the pieces polished are now seen in Palaces, Museums and the rich and famous across the world. Stephen is one the most respected jewellery & silver polishers and is currently is teaching polishing across Europe and is known affectionately as “The Gold polishing Guru”. He has polished and restored many famous silverware pieces including the Americas Cup; Cricket World cup, Wimbledon Cup, Dubai Gold Cup, Premier League Cup. He has also been privileged to work in the jewel house at the Tower of London restoring The Grand Punch bowl made in 1830 and used by the Royal family on many occasions. Also known for polishing the largest pure gold coins made by the Royal Mint the largest being the James Bond 7kg pure gold coin. He is a fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths (IPG) and their official ambassador and a Master of The Dutch Guild of Goldsmiths. In this lovely nature-filled full day course, you will be creating beautiful jewellery from the amazing combination of Mother Nature and silver clay. You will use various items of nature, such as leaves, seed heads, sea-shells, and make moulds and use different techniques with the silver clay. You will turn them into beautiful solid silver Jewellery that you will be able to wear home proudly. All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own samples from nature to use but we will have plenty of pieces available.

Our Enamel on Silver Clay Workshop is perfect for beginners and intermediate students who want to learn how to add colour to silver using champlevé and other techniques. In this workshop, you'll learn how to use silver clay and enamel to create beautiful pieces of jewellery that are full of depth and character. We'll start by covering the basics of working with silver clay, then move on to adding enamel. Once we've laid out the basics, we'll show you how to add colour to your piece by using a variety of techniques. This workshop will give you a chance to develop skills in two beautiful techniques that will help you take your work from good to great!
