Sun Bear Yoga has a key focus on making yoga fun and accessible to all. In this
funny old time we believe it's super important to take extra care of our kids
and their families' emotional and physical health. Sun Bear Yoga combines yoga,
play, fun, dance, drama, music, acro, storytelling, relaxation and mindfulness
to nurture positive wellbeing and encourage community support and socialisation
(team work- yay). Why is yoga good for kids? It improves concentration and
co-ordination, develops body awareness, calms the racing mind and boosts
self-esteem and inner confidence. Our mission is to create a space for some much
needed time out, fun without distraction, giggles and to provide the opportunity
for an emotional reset. We want to give kids and their families the tools to
cope better with the daily stressors that come with modern family life. We
believe in equality, inclusivity, tolerance, compassion and respect and these
values form the foundations of our classes. All of our classes are completely
secular and there will be no focus on religion. EVERYONE is welcome. We believe
in spreading love and happiness to all. Kindness is our superpower! We offer
classes for children 0-16y during term time and we run family yoga events out of
term time. Right now our classes go up to 12y but as of September they will be
available for 13-16y and we will also have dedicated classes for children with
certain additional needs in Autumn 2021.
