HorseWorld is a charity dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, neglected and mistreated horses, ponies and donkeys. The organisation cares for more than 100 horses, ponies and donkeys at its Bristol site and provides after-care and support for around 200 more, who have been re-homed throughout the South-West. The charity also runs the innovative Discovery educational programme. HorseWorld's vital 365-days-a-year animal welfare work is funded by voluntary donations. You can help transform the lives of horses, ponies and donkeys. HorseWorld is not open to the public on a day-to-day basis but it holds Open Days throughout the year. HorseWorld's Registered Charity number is 1121920 Background The charity began life in 1952 as "The Friends of Bristol Horses Society" in a campaign to save the lives of working horses who were rapidly being replaced by motorised vehicles in industry. Under the banner of “Retirement Not Slaughter” - for many were destined for the abattoir - the charity offered a safe haven in Bristol for the big-hearted horses, ponies and donkeys that had worked all their lives on the railways, in the dockyards, the coal mines, the roads and for the armed forces. Decades later working horses are largely a memory of the past. But there is still a very real demand for this work - to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home up to 100 abandoned, neglected and mistreated horses every year. Chitepani is a subsistence farming village, situated 3200ft above sea level and approximately 9.3miles from Pokhara, Nepal’s second city. Although the Chitepani Trust was registered as a Charity in the UK in 2006, it had been functioning as a project since 2000 when Tika Ram Sapkota (a mountain guide at that time) and I, trekked to Annapurna Base Camp to celebrate the millennium. Tika told me about his home village Chitepani and of the need for some kind of small health centre. There was no medical provision in the village and it was necessary to walk a long way down a difficult mountain path and alongside the river before catching a bus to Pokhara and to the nearest doctor. A plan had been discussed but promised funding did not materialise. I decided to become involved at this stage. It took several years of fundraising in the UK before the health centre became well established with a full time health worker and regular health camps attended by a doctor. Health camps over the years have concentrated on issues such as eye problems, women’s health including smear testing, thyroid testing as well as general health and dental hygiene. Recently we have concentrated on providing information about Covid 19

At all times, the light of God will shine and darkness will not be able to comprehend it. We will be illuminated by the glory of God…. ….To get to the holiest of holies, we need to go through the outer court, where we have the altar and the laver as a place of cleansing. This is the place for sacrifice, where we present our bodies as a living sacrifice; we die to self and ask for more of Jesus and less of us – with the Sea of Glass before us. As we hear and read the word of God, God will continue to cleanse us from the inside out, and we will, continue to guard our senses our; eyes, ears, nose, hands and mouth. The Bible is like a door, which leads us into the presence of God. Behind that door are great spiritual treasures. But we must have the key to unlock the door or we will never be able to enter in and explore these treasures. The Bible reveals how we can understand God’s Word. It provides the key to unlock the door to spiritual understanding.

Clervaux Fold is a dedicated family centre working with Army Families attached to the nearby Catterick Garrison, as well as local non-military families. Made up of workshops for crafts and activities and a communal lounge area for socialising, the Fold also offers places for children to play. Alongside practical workshops, participants have access to a kitchen and dining room, planted gardens in the grounds outside, and the Clervaux Castle play area.

Trust Training Limited (TTL) is a leading firm specialising in the provision of Training, Workshops and other Capacity Building Services aimed mainly at supporting Donor Funded Projects with specific reference to their design, objectives and guidelines. The Trainings/Workshops bring together the Project Coordinating Units; the Beneficiary/Implementing Agencies and the Sector Agencies for “Competence& Skills Transfer” or “Capacity Building& Development” (CPD). Over the years, our Training & Workshop Business has focused on specific “Knowledge Areas” and “Markets”, hence our slogan – “Building Capacity in Donor Funded Projects”. Overtime, our engagements have evolved into what we now refer to as “SOLUTIONS BASED WORKSHOPS”. In that, we attempt to provide solutions, to the challenges faced by our clients, through Training & Workshop rather than Consulting. This has made our engagements “Tailored” or “Customised” to the client’s project, circumstances and needs. It tends to take more of a “Workshop” format than “Training” by the end of which, Knowledge and Competences are shared and gained. Participants tend to leave with some sort of “OUTLINE PLAN / FRAMEWORK” at least mentally, for the solution of their recognised needs.
