Orpington Village Hall is proud to be a member of the Bromley Dementia Action Alliance and an active part of the Bromley Dementia Friendly Community. We received the 2019 “Orpies” award for the Most Dementia Friendly Organisation in Orpington, and this has only been the start to our projects and ideas for the future. As it is now the case that one in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia later in life, it is critical that organisations, and communities, are better prepared to support their members in living with the condition and ensuring they have the best quality of life possible. Orpington Village Hall is dedicated to providing a facility that is inclusive and accessible to all, as well as working on projects to benefit and support those living with Dementia and their families.

At Strathmore Community Rugby Trust, we aim to help people benefit from the health and social aspects of playing rugby. Find out more and get involved.We operate in the Strathmore Valley, a wide valley on the east coast of Scotland which extends from Perth in the south-west to Stonehaven in the north-east. The Trust is dedicated to providing opportunities for everyone in the Strathmore Valley, but specifically Forfar, Kirriemuir and Brechin, to participate in rugby regardless of their previous experience and ability. In doing so we aim to improve our participants’ physical and mental health, wellbeing and promote a sense of community and belonging.

Around 1997, LiNX Christian Youth Trust was launched by the local Church with the vision of resourcing Torbay schools by supporting young people in all aspects of their development. Today LiNX has transformed from working out of a disused junk room... to a fully equipped office. From no staff... to seven passionate employees. And from a few school connections... to being a well established schools-based charity working with thousands of young people each year across eight secondary schools plus other alternative school provisions in Torbay. You can get a clear sense for the progress that has been made over the years.
