Develop your skills in this full day session where you will practice more precision cutting techniques and have the opportunity to work with a range of materials including reclaimed china, sea washed glass, sea washed china and vitreous glass tiles.&nbsp;</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">You will design, make and grout your own bespoke hanging fish, suitable for inside or outside. A selection of china and other materials will be provided (along with your pre-cut &amp; treated wooden fish) and you can also bring your own. <p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">This is a hands-on, practical and fun workshop where you will learn the basic skills&nbsp;and gain the confidence&nbsp;you need to create beautiful printed products&nbsp;at home without the need for expensive equipment.&nbsp;</p>

On this festive-themed lino printing workshop with artist Suzanne Kemplay, you will explore ways of creating simple, striking images suitable for printing onto your own greeting cards, gift tags, wrapping paper and gifts.
This is a hands-on, practical and fun workshop where you will learn the basic skills and gain the confidence you need to create beautiful printed products at home without the need for expensive equipment. 
You will learn how to create a suitable design, practice cutting it out of lino, and select some products to print onto. You will take home your original lino design to use at home, a range of festive products you select for printing - such as greeting cards, gift tags ready to personalise, or gift wrap - plus a framed print of your original design to hang at home, or to give as a unique gift.
All the equipment you will need is provided.

Accessibility
The workshop space is on the first-floor of our Georgian mews home and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Blue badge holders can park outside our front door on the single yellow line by arrangement.

The workshop space is in our open plan living space and is not nut free. Please let us know about any skin or food allergies before booking. We offer a dairy-free milk and gluten free snack alternative.
Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. You&rsquo;ll have the opportunity to create a two-layer print with one colour layer, and one where we apply metal leaf to your design. Although no previous knowledge is assumed, you will get more from this workshop if you have attended one of our&nbsp;beginner or intermediate level screen printing workshops, or have&nbsp;previous experience of screen printing.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">You&rsquo;ll learn to create designs for screen printing;&nbsp;transfer your designs to a screen and print onto printmaking paper; and&nbsp;how to register your prints so they print in the same place every time. In this advanced level screen printing workshop you will learn to coat, expose, print and clean silk screens. What is the course about?
You're a maker in your favoured medium - ceramics, wood, metal, glass or whatever - and you want to make electric lamps.
This course will tell you everything you need to know beyond using your existing skills in making the lamp base: design considerations; bulbs, bulb holders and lampshades; wiring; testing; and all the standards and regulations that you need to conform to (covering UK and EU requirements).
Note that although I am a potter, the course is not centered round the use of ceramics (or any other material) in making your lamp base. 
The course is run over three weekly sessions, 19:00 – 20:30. These are recorded and put onto the course web page so you can view them at other times.
