Make this beautiful sunhat from English rush. Rush is soft on your hands to work with and has a multitude of different shades of green, brown and yellow making your hat very individual. During the day you will learn how the rush is grown, harvested and processed. No experience necessary, refreshments provided please bring your own lunch.

Phoenix Pottery and Art Studio is an Artist owned creative space offering pottery and art and craft classes in Golborne near Warrington, Cheshire. We have a range of pottery and art / craft classes and workshops, for beginners to experienced. Near Warrington, St Helens, Wigan and approx 20 miles from Manchester and Liverpool centres.

Silver Spinner Ring Workshop A day to learn some basic silver Jewellery techniques and create a finished sterling silver spinner ring. Learn to use basic tools and techniques to form and texture a ring to completion. Going home with a beautiful finished item of jewellery. The ticket price covers the cost of tuition and all precious and non precious materials. Whilst soldering experience is not necessary, a basic understanding of soldering and forming metal would be advantageous, enabling you more time to focus on your design. However, we will revise and practice simple soldering techniques, for those with little or no experience. To ensure that all abilities are catered for. On the day you will design a gorgeous sterling silver spinner ring. You will create one main wide band ring with one or multiple spinning satellite rings. You will be guided via a choice of textures and techniques. Price includes all precious materials, practice materials & instruction. We also include light refreshments of hot and cold drinks with plenty of cake and biscuits throughout the day. Please note, this ticket is your deposit and is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. We reserve the right to cancel the event if we do not have a minimum of 3 people, in which case your payment will be fully refunded. To ensure the quality of your personal experience, whilst we work to keep one another safe, the group size is currently limited to 6. There are also different texture and forming tools to choose from, to make your spinner ring unique to you. We cover a range of silversmithing techniques in this workshop so it really is a great introduction to working with silver. Who is it for? Beginners onwards. Over 16s with accompanying adult. What will I learn? You'll learn the basics of jewellery making including annealing, sawing, filing, soldering, shaping, forming, texturing and polishing. What's included? We provide all the equipment and materials you will need including the sterling silver to make your rings. Tea, coffee and cake are also included on the day. What shall I bring? Reading glasses if you use them. Also to keep you safe it's best to wear closed toed shoes, tie long hair back and avoid loose flappy clothes. Craft workshop using a variety of pre-cut glass materials including rods, frit and frit balls to transform into your choice of a bowl, hanging or free standing wave form. Fused Glass Workshop – Flower Garden Designs I want to share my 15+ years of experience with you. This fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop Whether you create a design inspired by wild flower gardens, fields of Poppies, a layer of Bluebells or hills covered in Heather you’ll enjoy playing with glass shapes and textures to create your own abstract and colourful creation. Choose from 3 options of pre cut glass bases and create either a bowl, sculptural wave or hanging panel. Round Bowl – approx. 17cm. Wave – approx. 32cm across x 7 tall. Round Hanging – approx. 18cm Get making by snapping glass rods, sprinkling crushed glass frit and place frit balls for your colourful flower blooms. The main thing to remember is to have fun! You will play with different types of decorative glass elements and learn a little about how the kiln firing will change them. Simply complete your design during the session and leave it at the studio for me to fire, finish and clean up for you. We will make arrangements to pick up a few weeks later or I can post your finished piece at cost. I will talk through all the Health & Safety in the session but I want you to know now, you will be handling precut glass pieces, they have pointy ends but with the right handling, they won’t hurt you. Recommended for ages 13+, all under 16s to be accompanied by a paying adult. Join Wildside London in the creative studio at West 16th for a Christmas Wreath workshop on Thursday 12th December at 7pm.  Kick off the festive season by learning to create a gorgeous wreath with an array of seasonal florals. Our workshops are fun, immersive and relaxed and we provide all the materials and instruction to enable you to design and build a fabulous wreath. The evening provides an opportunity to plan a creative Christmas get together that will put you right into the Christmas spirit. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served alongside the wreath making tutorial, or book a table in the restaurant for dinner before and make a night it it.
