A Competitor has been to see the client and they have prompted some concerns about ‘value for money’ & ‘quality of service’. How Real Play works… The group is split the group into 2 sub-groups, one with our Professional Actor (option available); the other with the Trainer or a willing Participant. Each group has a brief and has to instruct their Trainer/Actor/Participant on how to approach the scenario supplied. The Actor and Trainer (or willing Participant) perform the role play(s) as instructed by their respective teams; however, during the action they can be paused for further recommendations or direction. The outcome is the responsibility of the team(s) – not the performers. Debrief the full Programme Individual Action Plans - to be followed through. ‘Best Practices’ for application into the business Options for Exercises within the Programme  Sample Exercise – Red & White  There is a specific time managed agenda and itinerary, which puts the group under pressure.  The key challenge is for the sub-groups to maximise the commercial value from the task, however there is always a great danger that the individuals attempt to gain financial progress at the expense of the other group! Salsa Bristol is one of the longest-running Salsa and Latin dance schools in the South West region. Over the 11 years we have been running, we have had students from all walks of life and of all ages (from 18 to 70s!). Besides running our weekly classes, parties, and special events, we have taught at charity events, primary schools (including children and adults with special needs), and even Red Arrows pilots! Salsa Bristol's founder, Wayne, recognised how daunting it could be to go from a beginners level, to “improvers” – as a result, we were one of the first to bring in “jumpers” lessons to bridge the gap between these dance levels. Wayne Wayne and ClareWayne started dancing salsa in 2006. Not being the fastest learner he found it hard as a beginner to learn the turn patterns, keep the timing, lead the leads and think about what move to lead next without putting in 10 or 20 mambos first. He decided that so many others must struggle in a similar way that a new method could be taught in the form of weekly courses as opposed to drop-in classes. Having given much thought to this and realising that this wasn't being done elsewhere (certainly not in the South West) he spent the next 18 months travelling the West Country trying different teachers and learning not just what works but also learning what doesn't work so well! Clare Clare fans 150x150pxClare had already been dancing since she was a young girl before she joined Salsa Bristol in around 2010. She progressed quickly, joining the team as a teaching assistant and eventually making her way to the "top" as head teacher, taking beginners and jumpers classes at our weekly events and teaching at Salsa Bristol's monthly parties at Fry's. Clare also teaches private lessons for individuals, school children, parties and other functions.

I first came across the Alexander Technique when I was looking for something to help me stop getting tension headaches, lower back pain, and neck problems. Finding a teacher and learning the principles, ideas and concepts of the technique gave me an appreciation of what I was doing to myself that created the pain, as well as how I was putting myself wrong in some other areas of my life too! I learned the good news: that if I was causing my difficulties, then I also had the power to stop causing them. I have become a more flexible, happier, calmer and easier to be with person. I move in a more co-ordinated way and have re-found the joy in moving I remember having as a child. I no longer have any tension headaches, neck problems or lower back aches. I feel more at home with myself than I ever have in the past. I am a teacher trained by the ITM (Interactive Teaching Method Association). This means that I studied for four years and passed four written and one practical exam. I spent six months within the course as a student teacher. I graduated in 2003. I am a member of the ITM Teachers’ Association and have a BSc (hons) degree from the University of Bristol. I have taught individuals, small groups and evening classes, as well as workshops and courses for businesses, colleges, the WEA, the WI and the local council. I have run workshops at festivals such as the Larmer Tree and the Big Green Gathering. I have taught music students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I also taught students at the Musical Theatre School in Somerset, and dance students at Bristol Dance Centre. I love teaching this work because I love seeing my students improve their movement, their thinking and the way they see themselves as well as the way they see the world.

You can watch us at work in the studio and we have a range of activities (like Bauble Blowing which kids love), Bauble Making and Stained Glass Making courses. Occupying two central locations, our "Theatre of Glass" Studio & Factory Shop is in the artisan quarter of Walcot Street and the sister shop is situated next to the Ancient Roman Baths and the awe-inspiring Bath Abbey. Our online shop has an abundance of wonderful treasures on offer, including handmade glass vases, glass bowls and ornaments in a wide range of colours and designs. Our signature colour is aqua blue, reminiscent of the healing aqua waters synonymous with Bath. Our shops are some of the most interesting Bath shopping experiences and you can watch us work at the studio. We employ traditional methods to make our beautiful glass products and do not use moulds to create our glassware produce. This means that our glassware is unique and more personal from craft to gift. We also offer glass engraving allowing for bespoke messages on glass baubles, wine glasses and a range of our custom made glassware. Handmade stained glass windows, door panels, sun-catchers, lampshades and many more items can be commissioned through our stained glass studio, where we also undertake many restoration projects.
