After leading the clinical education department of one of the UK’s largest nurse and pharmacist clinic networks, they channelled their experience to create Health Academy. They wanted to create a new, fun place for learning with a variety of learning options to suit the goals of the individual practitioner.

Lisa immediately secured employment within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust in Foster Green Hospital Neurology Department which specialises in traumatic and acquired brain injuries for teens and adults. In 2008 Lisa trained as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse — Health Visitor and secured employment in her own local area where Lisa grew up. This afforded Lisa opportunities to improve social inequalities and promote health and well being. Nursing has always been Lisa’s vocation — but aesthetics has always been her passion!! I also have extensive experience delivering bespoke training across Scotland in mental health, NHS/Public Health Scotland – Healthy Working Lives, SCQF Mental Health First Aid Level 4, 5 & 6 and challenging behavioural courses that support people working with children and young adults who have Additional Support Needs. I am passionate about being pro-active and making change for the better and recently qualified as a Scottish Government Quality Improvement leader. When I’m not delivering Mental Health training, I volunteer my time as a Learning & Development Co-ordinator for the Children’s Hearing Panel and other third sector organisations.
