This course defines professional boundaries and how they apply to the children’s care sector, discusses different scenarios staff may come across, explains what happens when boundaries are broken and how to identify broken boundaries with others.

This course is designed for people working with Children and Young People who are victims or perpetrators of Bullying. The course will raise awareness of bullying, will encourage the learners to self-reflect on their practice in relation to bullying and will introduce strategies to manage it.

This course has been designed for those working with Children and Young People displaying harmful sexualised behaviours.

Our Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults course is written for people who work in the adult care industry for them to gain an understanding of the requirements of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults legislation such as the Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Groups Act 2006 and how to implement this into the workplace.

This course will define what safeguarding is and its principles, help you to recognise situations where children may be at risk of harm, identify signs of abuse and cover procedure to follow.

This course will raise awareness of the issue of knife crime, define what knife crime is and the laws on knife crime, explain why a young person might carry a knife and how carers can help prevent knife crime and create a safe environment for young people.

Attachment underpins the relationships that Children and Young People have with staff and other Children and Young People.

This course explains what trauma is and why and how it occurs, provides examples of traumatic experiences, explains Children and Young People’s behaviour in reaction to trauma and how staff should approach care when looking after a traumatised Child or Young Person.

This course raises awareness about self-harm in children’s care sector; why young people self-harm, the different types of self-harm, who is vulnerable to it and how to help young people recover.
