AP Cymru provide a peer support outreach service for families going through the diagnostic process, and the crucial months which follow, by pooling together our lived experience to provide a warm, friendly, and accessible service. The majority of our staff are Neurodiverse and are parents to Neurodiverse children, so we are able to provide well-rounded, positive, and understanding information to parent/carers. Our families can access a wide variety of workshops, training courses, clinics, guest speakers, and family fun sessions. The waiting lists for therapies and other services in most areas are incredibly long, therefore the workshops we facilitate allow parent/carers to access general information from professionals while they wait for their child to reach the top of the waiting lists for more individualised programmes. We also provide fun and interactive workshops for organisations and businesses of all shapes and sizes, creating opportunities to engage in continued professional development which enhance the day-to-day experiences of thousands of Neurodiverse people and their families. This in turn assists with ending the stigma which is still sadly linked to Neurodiversity within our society. Our workshops and talks are not just for adults. We provide assemblies and other talks within schools, catering for all ages and stages from the Early Years Foundation Phase (KS1) through to Key Stage 5.

My name’s Marion Webber and I’ve been working in the field of Arts in Health and more general participatory arts for over a decade. Studies* have proven the benefits of taking part in creative activities that support our daily lives. I founded Arting Celfio during 2020, to enable Healthcare professionals and artists specialising within Arts and Health to collaborate and provide high-quality, tailor-made, person-centered arts projects. I am a practicing artist based in South Wales, with extensive experience in Participatory Arts Practice. This has given me the privilege to work with diverse participants on many commissions resulting in the installation of artworks in both temporary and permanent exhibitions. My art practice and knowledge inform how I collaborate and co-curate projects with Healthcare professionals and fellow artists within the field of Arts in Health. I have an MA (with Distinction - Arts Practice Arts, Health and Wellbeing) and gained a PGCE PcET Teaching Qualification (Post-16 and Adult Education sectors). I deliver creative workshops, informed by reflective practice and a commitment to continued professional development that connects, and provides meaningful activities that value people’s input and stories. Coleg y Cymoedd (meaning college of the valleys) was formed in 2013, following the merger of The College Ystrad Mynach and Coleg Morgannwg. Over 10,000 learners study at Coleg y Cymoedd each year with sites in Aberdare, Nantgarw, Rhondda (Llwynypia) and Ystrad Mynach. The college offers a wide range of Full and Part Time courses from Entry to Degree Level in over 15 Curriculum areas. Working in partnership with more than 800 employers, the college’s Business Services team offer a wide range of Apprenticeship and Bespoke Commercial Training packages. The college has invested significantly in its facilities in recent years, with standout projects including the Nantgarw Campus building (a £40 million award winning campus), Aberdare Campus (a £22 million campus opened 2017), state of the art Railway Training and Motor Vehicle Facilities.
