Life hasn't been easy, i've been to the very lows but its all helped me grow as a person to where i am now. It has been incredibly tough, i knew it wasn't going to be easy but no one told me how hard it would be. I didn't do great at school, i only got 2 C's and nothing higher. I never let that hold me back as i was far to determined. When i decided i wanted to create my own Tumble Academy (as thats how it started) i put £500 of my saving into an account to create 'GymForce'. The website, insurance, leaflets and t-shirts. Why Gym Force? I feel like having a sport I adored help me so much in my adult life in many ways. I’m a very confident, motivated, ambitious person and I have gymnastics to thank for that. I would love for more children to have that in life. I feel like GymForce has a lot to give. As a small club we know everyone that walks through the door. We get complimented a lot on this. It’s more than just a club, we have/make time for each and every athlete, even their parents! I will continue to make personal little touches to my club that other ‘big’ clubs don’t currently offer. The Start of the journey... I started gymnastics when I was three, and I absolutely loved it. Especially floor! I just loved to tumble, that was my thing. As I got older I did more and more hours working my way up to club level. I felt that having gymnastics in my life helped me stay focused and on the right track when some of my friendship group didn’t. I wasn’t one to do well at school, reading and writing was not for me. I just wanted to be active all the time. So I had decided from a very young age that I would love to go into sports and coaching. I started coaching at 14 as a leader, it was great as I got to save money towards my first car.

Hi! My name is Sophie, I have been practicing yoga for the past six years. I started my yoga journey whilst living in Australia and quickly realised how much it improved my well-being, fitness and flexibility! I returned back to my home town in 2019 and decided to dive in to my teacher training. I completed my 200hr Vinyasa flow teacher training at Frog Lotus International at the beautiful Suryalila in Southern Spain. Adding regular yoga practice to your routine can help reduce levels of stress, increase your mental and physical energy and helps support any other physical movement or activities. I also offer one-to-one sessions and small groups of friends and family with a maximum of 6 yogis per class. The studio is a quiet and calming space where you can escape from the busyness of your day. Whatever your age, sex or ability you are welcome in my classes. I aim to help you progress and extend your practice, offering you the opportunity to develop at your own pace and enjoy your time on the mat!

Lawyers are strong, intelligent professionals. Very often we’ve got the career, family, nice house, decent income, but experience failing mental health and a poor sense of well-being. Have you spent years climbing the ladder, striving to be the “go to” person for your clients and the person your team looks to for answers? But in clocking up all that chargeable time maybe you’ve missed school plays, dinner dates and family gatherings. Do you manage to have conversations with your spouses that doesn’t involve negotiating who’s paying the cleaner or picking up the kids from school? Lawyers have a larger dose of the “perfectionist” gene than you’ll see in many other professions. We feel as though we must be the one who gets everything done, meets deadlines, gets the kids to school and has a week’s worth of frozen dinners ready? (Or feels like you should be doing all of that?) This is leading us to higher and higher levels of burnout, stress related absence, ill health, not feeling able to pursue that promotion or new role, and even leaving the profession we’ve worked so hard to join.
