This End of Life (Palliative Care) Course covers the issues and practices involved in caring for the terminally ill and is suitable for both healthcare professionals and individuals looking at optimising their care skills and practices.

It will help you to learn about the delivery of optimal end of life care and improve your communication skills to strengthen working relationships with healthcare professionals during this period. You will also feel you have a much better understanding on how to support the friends and family of the person that you are caring for.
In this online course, you will learn to address the ethical issues and characteristics of hospice and palliative care. You will also understand the assessment and management of pain. And you will be able to help patients and their families cope with dying, death, and the grief that follows and, in doing so, will ensure that the process is in the very best interests of the individual concerned.
If you are an individual looking after a terminally ill relative this course bridges the divide between understanding how healthcare professionals work and understanding how your relative or friend should be managed by your support team.
