Join us at the Arts & Spirituality Centre for an embodied-afternoon practice in support of our nervous system. Through Om Mantra, Asana (posture) & Pranayama (Breathwork) we will help reduce anxiety in the body & encourage a healthy spine. We will complete our practice with a grounding Shavasana (final resting pose) meditation wherein we will honour our connection to the Earth. Through movement with breath & awareness we will use the body as a tool of embodiment, through which we can find connection with our fabulous self. This is a safe & sacred space for the LGBTQ community in Gorgie & Edinburgh at large. This class will be run by a Queer person & is open to all genders & LGBTQ community allies too. Our first aid at work training courses are in accordance with guidance provided by the Health & Safety executive (HSE) and are both fun and informative. This qualification should enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of first aider. and include dynamic and realistic casualty simulation which puts the candidates through their paces. We hold the Emergency First Aid at Work at our Education Centre in Ellesmere Port. We are also able to teach this course 'in-house' at our clients preferred site. Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training and be able to perform tasks at floor level. There are no other formal entry requirements but we strongly recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
