This is an International Driver CPC - 7hours course - Vulnerable Road Users and it is suitable for LGV & PCV and will cover: Where Do We Encounter VRU’s? Who Are the VRU’s? Sharing Road Space, Route Planning, New Traffic Systems, Professional Drivers Role, Hazard Perception, Defensive Driving, Blindspots, Vehicle Safety Systems, Cyclists, Pedestrians, Motorcyclists, Horse Riders All courses start at 07:45 hrs and finish at 15:45 hrs All courses are 8 hours long with included 2 breaks of 15 minutes and a lunch break of 30 minutes. Approval: This course is registered with JAUPT as approved for Driver CPC qualification. Course Approval Number: ICRS5814/475. On completion of the course, all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance. Please note repeat courses are not accepted by DVSA and by joining this course you confirm that you are aware of the modules covered by you and certify that, if you have covered these before you are happy to repeat the modules due to needing further education on the subject.

LOOKING FOR: ADULT FICTION, NON-FICTION Imogen Pelham has been at Marjacq since 2015, and has worked as a literary agent for more than a decade. She represents literary fiction and some upmarket commercial fiction, as well as a wide range of non-fiction. Imogen's looking for fiction with a strong premise, a surprise twist, or sharp humour. Recent favourites include Leave The World Behind by Rumaan Alam, Early Morning Riser by Katherine Heiny, and Sorrow & Bliss by Meg Mason. Her non-fiction list includes history, memoir, medicine and psychology. She is particularly interested in identity, the arts and investigative journalism. Imogen would like you to submit a covering letter, 1 - 2 page synopsis and the first 10,000 words of your manuscript in a single word document. Running a careers themed Takeover Day: Afternoon Cuppa Session     Tuesday 13 May, 2pm - 3.30pm Join us for an informal virtual briefing and discussion session to inspire your own careers themed Takeover Day. Established by Kids in Museums in 2010, Takeover Day is when museums, galleries, historic homes, archives and heritage sites invite young people to take over jobs normally done by adults. Over 5,000 people, from toddlers to 25 year olds, now take part each year. This year, Takeover Day is on Friday 21 November. The theme for Takeover Day in 2025 is careers. We are bringing Takeover Day back to its roots and highlighting how it can support young people of all ages to learn about different jobs in museums and develop their skills, both in the sector and beyond. The date also coincides with Discover Creative Careers Week. In this session, we will: Provide a range of ideas to inspire your own careers themed Takeover Day with local children and young people, Hear a case study from the Great North Museum: Hancock about hosting their first careers themed Takeover Day in 2024, Create opportunities for attendees to informally share their ideas for Takeover Day or experience of other careers focused projects they have undertaken.
