TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) – FAW (3-Day Course) About the Course This comprehensive, regulated three-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course is designed for individuals who are designated workplace first aiders under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. It equips learners with the essential skills, confidence, and knowledge to handle a wide range of first aid situations in the workplace. Who Should Attend? This course is ideal for anyone appointed as a first aider in medium to high-risk workplaces such as construction sites, factories, warehouses, large offices, or schools. It is also suitable for those seeking a thorough understanding of first aid procedures. This course is available to those who have already completed a dry needling foundation course and wish to add acupuncture for pain relief to their toolbox. Only acupuncture points and clinical reasoning will be taught mostly within a western framework, but traditional Chinese medicine will be explained as well. This could also be beneficial to someone who wishes to return to using acupuncture, but has not practiced for some time. To successfully complete this course there will be a short practical test and a 2000 word case study to ensure that a sufficient level of competancy and understanding has been achieved to safely practice acupuncture. The three dates that must all be attended are Sunday 21st September, 28th September and 5th October 2025, 9am-4pm Courses taught by Justine Munur, 20+ years experienced in physiotherapy and dry needling/acupuncture, MSc in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. A single day knife making course is a great way to make yourself an item that will last a lifetime, on this one day course we forge a blacksmiths knife (also called a Viking knife) a full metal knife with integral handle. A knife is one of the oldest tools ever made by humanity and it is one that invokes many emotions to people when they see and use it for a productive task. When doing a knife making course here at Bearded Pig Forge we will discuss the fine details of a knife and how they are made as well as the history of forging them.  On the course you will learn the basics of forging a blade and how to effectively heat treat them in order to get the most use out of the blades as well as techniques for sharpening and honing blades. Courses are £150 Per person per day.  I run a strict cancellation policy. If you cannot attend the date you have booked please contact me within three weeks and I will rebook your course for free, If you contact me after this deadline you will lose your place.
