SHEFFIELD
In 1957 several people were keen to set up their own dinghy racing club. In
fact, they were so keen that they rolled up their sleeves, dug out an access
track to Harthill Reservoir and worked together to build their own clubhouse.

Today the clubhouse has been extensively refurbished providing facilities that
those early members would not have dreamed of, but the spirit of the club has
remained the same: competition on the water and co-operation off the water. The
club enjoys a family atmosphere which is as supportive to beginners as it is
encouraging for those keen to develop their racing skills. There is a strong
youth section which is helped by the provision of a fleet of 4 club Toppers and
regular training opportunities, under the careful supervision of RYA qualified
instructors.
