As our ministry has grown over the last several decades we have continually asked the question – What is it that we have to offer through the Holy Spirit to both those in need and/or those within the church seeking deeper relationship with Christ? We have discovered that through a mixture of teaching, training and a more tailored mentoring approach we can help individuals, groups and churches to fulfill more of their potential in Christ. That is, to disciple them in ways that impact all areas of their lives. Our background combines business and training, research and therapeutic work together over many years, alongside church planting and church growth. We bring a high level of hands on pragmatism with all these skills. We are not content with just teaching and envisioning. We also focus very specifically on the how-to-do-it, the step-by-step approaches that turn Biblical ideas into a new way of life in Christ. Also our approach is collaborative – what we mean by this is that we help you identify what your own options are, what your own values are, what your calling in Christ really means to you. Then we support you in achieving this through our training programs. We are also developing these ideas academically, looking beyond our own calling and practices. We work alongside local congregations, helping to equip them for both local church life and wider mission. We also offer training for Christian leaders and those who want to learn to help others. All our resources and programs are intended to help support a persons ongoing discipleship journey – your journey into greater wholeness. In all that we offer we are always seeking to answer the often-heard basic question, ‘how do I do that?’. Therefore most of our programmes are tailored to the needs of the participants. No two events are alike, so be warned!

Andy has over 30 years of experience in the software and information services sector. From 1990, he worked for companies including Perfect Information, Excalibur Technologies, Business Objects, and Convera, selling enterprise software and services to create information and data products for clients that included Jane’s Information, Reuters and Associated Newspapers. In 2005 he switched to marketing, PR, and communications and has since been Head of Digital for a leading PR consultancy, managed Honda’s social media monitoring, directed social media campaigns for Vodafone Business, and trained Vodafone Business’s PR, comms, sales and marketing teams in digital skills. For the last seven years, Andy has run his digital consultancy Andy Black Associates helping UK SME’s with digital transformation and is an approved G-Cloud 12 supplier of cloud services to the UK government. In 2020 he founded ComSkills.

Technology Triumphs is a distance learning based service and exam centre, headed by qualified DT teacher and home educating mum, Pip Rothwell. In 2018, whilst tutoring a small number of home educating learners, Pip realised that there was a distinct lack of opportunities to achieve formal qualifications in practical and creative subjects outside of a school or college setting Technology Triumphs provides Ofqual-approved Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications to learners who might not otherwise be able to access these through more conventional education channels. TT offers online courses that have been independently approved under the awarding body NCFE and allows learners to learn at home without feeling pressurised and at their own pace.

The Keys that open the doors to knowledge Alex Waterton is passionate about helping people to do things the easy way, which is why he started a business revealing the secrets of the Microsoft Office applications that people use every day. “There are easier ways to do many things in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project – and most people are just not aware of what’s possible,” he says. F-Keys was launched back in 1998 and became a limited company in March 2000 and the current team includes Carol Downey Microsoft Certfied Trainer, who started out originally as one of Alex’s students and worked her way up to become a Microsoft Office Specialist Instructor, and Microsoft Certfied Trainer just like Alex. Also on the team is Jo White, who was Alex’s tutor and mentor during his time at Mid-Kent College when he studied for his JEB Teaching Diploma qualification before continuing on to complete his Certificate in Education at Christ Church College Canterbury. Having developed a training suite that allows students to work in comfortable (rather than cramped) conditions, Alex and the team at F-Keys are flexible and passionate about designing the ideal learning solutions for individuals and businesses. “At F-Keys first we work to understand what a business wants to achieve and then the courses are customised and built around the learners. The focus is on how to make the most of the features and functionality within Microsoft Office so that the processes and people using them are ultimately more efficient and productive.” One of the most important aspects of the F-Keys training is to encourage people to become more confident and aware in their use of these programs, so that they begin to find their way around more easily to solve their own solutions rather than disturbing fellow staff members or simply following the manual blindly.
