Hi, I am both a qualified commercial and domestic heating engineer with 40 years experience in the field. I set up an independent heating design consultancy in 2014 after designing & installing plant rooms & systems for most of my career ( www.robberridge.co.uk ) and am now fully engaged with this and my heat calculation software company with two other directors. After coming off the tools for some six years now and designing many plant rooms and systems for my new clients, I bring a unique perspective that bridges the often large gap between installation engineers and architects/building services engineers. Offering fully scaled CAD drawings, specifications and tender documents that all parties fully understand has kept me really busy and my life, 'interesting'. I also offer training courses in building heat loss, system calculation and specification to which I partner with IMI-Hydronics. My main focus is system design and efficiency, whatever the heat source or fuel type and I have no personal affiliation with any. #BeaPro

Mountains, nature and the outdoors are my absolute passion in life and I would love to share this with as many people as possible. For me, being in the mountains brings a sense of freedom; a calm and peacefulness which helps puts life’s problems into perspective, giving me the space and time to solve them. I am an experienced Mountaineer, fully qualified Mountain Leader and First Aider. I regularly lead groups of all ages and experiences in the hills, including scout groups, corporate organisations and novices on their first ever trips. Further afield, I have led expeditions in the Alps, Peru, Swaziland, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, India, to the Arctic Circle in Northern Finland, and to Everest Base Camp via the challenging 3 Peaks and 3 Passes route.

Hello and welcome! Following many years in the NHS as a senior nurse and educator I founded my company in 2012. I support individuals, teams and organisations to communicate at their best with a particular interest in conflict, complaints and bringing compassion to life. Working with Scotland’s Ombudsman gave me a unique perspective about the emotional elements often associated with concerns and conflict. And from there I have developed a whole suite of resources to support us communicating at our best, managing conflict and caring for ourselves in the rich rollercoaster of life. I am an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh where I was awarded a Doctor of Science in 2020 for services to nursing. I am still involved in some part time teaching. I am also the Chair of North Edinburgh Dementia Care I remain a registered nurse and teacher. And continue to learn using a number of approaches including Appreciative Inquiry, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Mindful Self Compassion. I look forward to welcoming you on one of my courses.
