We engage trainees in professional productions for on and off stage experience, and in collaborative works with other artists and musicians. Admission is by audition only (min age 16) no educational qualifications required, as admission is based on Potential, Passion and Perseverance that are essentials required to thrive in this industry and in life!
This class is of a theatrical nature, all singing, all dancing and all acting! WhizzTheatrics is a Musical Theatre and performing arts class, promoting confidence, concentration, communication and coordination. TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. TERM BOOKINGS: You are welcome to watch the first class but following this your WhizzDancer will be expected to go in the class independently. You will be expected to provide full uniform. Details will be sent following. We have lots of opportunities ahead for your WhizzDancer including exams and shows. Learn simple breathing and vocal techniques to reduce stress and anxiety in the body, boost the immune system, and build connections for general wellbeing. We play with sound, rhythm and improvisation, learn close vocal harmony arrangements of different genres, and have loads of fun! Learn to Swing Dance in a Day! with Simon Selmon Learn the foundations of Lindy Hop, this popular 1940s partner dance. You will learn both the 6 and 8 count Lindy Hop plus some Lindy Charleston. By the end of this session we guarantee you will be able to dance a whole song - and smile at the same time! This workshop with Simon is for absolute beginners and those who have been dancing 6 months or less. No experience necessary or partner required.

Our tip toes class dance classes for babies twinkle toes ballet for 2 years old talent toes for pre-school and 3-year-olds all the way up to spinners for seven-year-old children. Classes are held on SATURDAYS at The Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford during term time. COMING SOON to Bexley and Sidcup. Join us in the first week of the holidays for some merry-making and fun! Holiday Club at the Academy is always thoroughly enjoyed by the children. They'll sing, dance, act, play games, create beautiful artwork and make new friends! "Max had the best day!! He hasn't stopped talking about it since he came home." 9am-3pm each day Add on film and popcorn to extend the day until 5pm £25 for 9-3pm Additional £5 for film club Please send your child in with a water bottle, packed lunch, any snacks they may want, water proofs (we often head out for some fresh air during the day), and clothes they can move easily in and don't mind getting arty! The sessions are planned and led by Alison from Long Mynd Music Academy and Charlotte from SAPA (Shropshire Academy of Performing Arts), with support from staff from LMMA and SAPA. All staff are DBS checked and have qualifications in teaching and learning.
