Sport-Savvy was established in 2012 within the West Essex area, by former West Ham United football coach and qualified teacher Anthony Savvides. Sport-Savvy provides a holistic approach to sports coaching, for boys and girls aged 2-11 years old. We work within various schools within Essex, Hertfordshire and London, providing breakfast clubs, active lunchtimes PE lessons, after school sports clubs, multi-activity holiday camps and sports based football parties .

We work in numerous primary schools and nurseries running PE lessons and after school clubs as well as community sessions. Our sessions are designed with child development experts to reach developmental milestones for each age group we work with. Our specifically developed Early Years Curriculum focuses on the 7 areas of learning as set out by the Early Years Framework while our primary school curriculums build on the previous foundations. Our mission is simple, to get the nations children fit, active and healthy. We also strive to build each child’s self-esteem, communication skills, confidence and passion for an active lifestyle through our fun based session. We will achieve this by ensuring our sessions are inclusive and accessible across our national movement which will educate and inspire by unleashing the power of sport! Through the power of franchising, Super Star Sport DA, are able to reach even more communities and inspire even more children. We are a professional sports coaching company specialising in delivering a wide range of sports to children from age 4-18 in London and Surrey areas. We work closely with a number of schools delivering the national curriculum freeing up teacher time, whilst we plan and deliver PE lessons. Alongside this we tailor specialised CPD workshops to help with teacher training and development.

St Bonaventure’s has a long and distinguished history. Our school has been providing the very best education for Roman Catholic boys in this area since before 1875. The school was founded on its current site in 1877 by the Franciscan Friars, making St Bonaventure’s one of the oldest Catholic boys’ schools in the country – only the London Oratory is older. 2017 saw us celebrating 140 years of education in Forest Gate and although the World has changed immensely in that time, one thing remains the same and that is the love and care each student receives every single day by dedicated staff and teachers. Our school motto, “In Sanctitate et Doctrina” symbolises what we expect from all members of our school. We are a community, based upon faith which impacts upon every element of our academic and personal lives and we expect everyone, adult and child, to ensure that they learn something new each day. We are a Roman Catholic school, founded on gospel values and our boys are an important and integral part of the faith community. I am very proud to be associated with a school that is a successful as St Bonaventure’s and I thank all students and staff, both current and previous for all their hard work, effort and commitment to their Church and their education. This is a school that every member of the school community feels privileged to be associated with. We support charities on a local, national and international level. Our boys give freely of their time and their money. Our CAFOD group raises over £2000 each year and we support Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society, Caritas Anchor House, Richard House Children’s Hospice and other charities.

This initiative was met with a fantastic response with 24 new juniors setting foot on a Real Tennis court for a lesson for the first time over the recent Christmas school holidays! 10 clubs were involved and a total of 24 youngsters took part including 6 girls. The Dedanists' Foundation is delighted to have funded this and looks forward to working with the T&RA again to promote our joint aim, helping to find the next generation of real tennis players.
