Knitting the Rainbow is an experimental knitting workshop using simple techniques to explore colour:-

<li>Using colour to express mood and atmosphere.</li>
<li>Exploring basic colour theory, to knit stripes and blocks of colour.</li>
<li>Creating a knitted patchwork.</li>
</ul>
&nbsp;
The session includes a worksheet, knitting demonstrations, plus a PowerPoint presentation covering plus graduation dyeing with Procion MX Cold Water dyes.&nbsp; There will also be a range of samples, to inspire further exploration after the session.

Aimed at anyone with an interest in textiles and soft sculpture, the workshop examines the artistic potential of knitting.&nbsp; The emphasis is on creating experimental samples, rather than a finished piece, although techniques can be adapted to create a garment, accessory or household object.

What attendees will need: -

<li>Knitting needles or crochet hooks.</li>
<li>Yarns, any will do, but bright rainbow shades if possible.</li>
<li>Several small stitch holders or safety pins.</li>
<li>Basic sewing kit, scissors, large eyed needles and embroidery threads.</li>
<li>Internet access, with a microphone and webcam. Please only book is you are able to attend in real time.</li>

I had to take my hearing aids out most sessions!!What is said in the group, stays in the group.
