A Warm Welcome to Ludo Tutors Founded in 2017 by Martha, a Dyslexic and Dyspraxia graduate from Cambridge University (Education with English and Drama, BA MA Cantab), Ludo Tutors was created to provide students with a holistic, well-rounded education and excellent quality Tutors. We have over 150 Tutors on our books and tutor everything from Academic subjects (such as 11+ Exams, Key Stage Three Science, GCSEs and A Levels) through to LAMDA Drama, Shakespeare and Public Speaking Exams). What are 11+ / Entrance Exams? 11+ Exams, sometimes called 'Entrance Exams', are examinations that many UK private schools. The rare usually competitive and a bit daunting! Don't panic, though - we're here to help!  How do I take Entrance Exams? Different schools have different application procedures, timelines and expectations. Some will belong to a body of schools using the same examination papers, whereas others will set their own, independent exams. Many also charge an administration fee. We do not advise parents on the applications themselves, but we have garnered a depth of knowledge about 11+ Exams that enable our Tutors to workeffikiently and effectively, whilst still keeping their students engaged and in good spirits. Who are your Tutors? Over half of our Tutors studied at either Oxford or Cambridge University and many hold PGCEs or TEFL/CELTA qualifications. All Tutors are Enhanced DBS checked. We interview each Tutor personally, to get to know them and to find our students the best match. What 11+ experience do you have? Our Founder, Martha, has extensive experience preparing students for the UK's top independent school exams, with many of her students achieving their first choice school, if not also a scholarship - lovely! This work is now carried out by our experienced and friendly tutors, with input from Martha if, as and when they may need extra support.

With Director Sue Dunderdale Introduction Sue Dunderdale is giving you the chance to work with her on this intimate online workshop to discover her detailed process in building a Cinematic performance with actors. Over this three hour workshop you will transform your approach to building a character from text. You will learn to breakdown the structure of a script to understand what a character is doing, enabling you to play the scene in any number of given circumstances and to always deliver it fresh with every take. Meet Your Tutor Sue Dunderdale Director Sue Dunderdale has an impressive background in the world of Theatre, Film and TV Directing. Her commitment to fostering both new talent and working with BAFTA award-winning actors underscores her versatility and dedication to the craft. Having coached and directed acclaimed actors such as Helena Bonham Carter and Clarke Peters, Sue has worked with BAFTA-winning performers, contributing to their success on screen. Course Outline You will cover a scene that’s broken into units of action and work out what is happening in each unit. You will then work with a partner and breakdown a scene on your own to work out the character journey, applying each segment to a performance to gauge how it guides you through the scene. You will then summarise and understand how these techniques apply to filming. Creating inclusive career pathways for young people: Afternoon Cuppa Session Tuesday 30 September, 2pm - 3.30pm In partnership with GEM Join Kids in Museums and Group for Education in Museums (GEM) ahead of November’s Discover Creative Careers Month, for an informal virtual briefing and discussion session about inclusive career pathways for young people in museums. The theme for Kids in Museums Takeover Day in 2025 is careers. Our research shows Takeover Day can support children and young people to learn about different jobs in museums and develop their skills for employment in the heritage sector and beyond. For heritage organisations, Takeover Day is a great opportunity to connect with different groups of children and young people, attract new audiences and pilot new ways of working. This session will include a case study from the National Army Museum about their first careers themed Takeover Day with a local primary school. Since 2023, GEM has been researching work experience, work placements and inclusive pathways for young people in the museum sector. Members of the GEM team will give an update about their research, and you can also hear from Boston Manor House, one of the organisations featured in the recent GEM Case Studies: Career Pathways in Museums. In this session, we will: Hear a case study from the National Army Museum about hosting their first careers themed Takeover Day in 2024. Learn more about research into inclusive career pathways for young people in museums from GEM. Hear a case study from Boston Manor House about the range of career-based opportunities they offer for local young people. Create informal opportunities for attendees to share their ideas for creating more inclusive career pathways in their organisations or examples of careers focused work they have already undertaken.
