Empowr-U started in March 2018 and began working to transform young people’s lives with outreach projects in areas such as Spon End, Stoke Aldermoor, Manor farm, Tile Hill, Canley and more. We also worked in collaboration with Coventry Boys and Girls Club to transform it into a modern and exciting organisation in the city centre of Coventry, which now serves hundreds of young people from various parts of Coventry. Our work with schools has also enabled many children and young people to improve their lives through mentoring, support groups and projects developing mental health, positive mindset and life skills. We continued to develop our programmes in Coventry and Warwickshire. Our Own-it project engaged nearly 1500 young people in Tile Hill, Canley and Kenilworth. Joanna is an experienced facilitator, guidance practitioner and educator having worked for seven years in higher education for the University of Leeds, St Mary’s University, and The Careers Group, University of London. They qualified as a careers consultant with a postgraduate diploma from the University of Warwick and is currently studying towards qualifying as a psychotherapist with Regent’s University London. Joanna has worked extensively in widening participation, in outreach and as a careers consultant - supporting students and graduates from underrepresented groups to access university and to progress into the world of work. They've been an active member of equality and inclusion committees, networks and working groups, implementing meaningful change for staff members, as well as students. They have a keen understanding of the structural and cultural issues that organisations and individuals face with regards to inclusion.

Gawthorpe Textiles Collection (GTC) is the operating name of independent museum and registered charity The Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth Textile Collections. Since its establishment in 1959, the charity has existed to deliver its powerful founding vision focused on education, public access to the collection for all and the promotion of wellbeing. The aims and purposes of the charity have never been more relevant as the country faces the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic. GTC operates from the Gawthorpe Hall estate in Padiham, Lancashire; family home to founder Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth MBE (1886- 1967), a life long collector of global textile and craft items. Rachel was a prolific lace maker and embroiderer. She was also a philanthropist who devoted her life to actively improving the social welfare of the communities on her doorstep. The charity’s long term ambition is to work in partnership to realise Rachel's vision of creating a craft house, a centre of excellence for learning in textiles. As the only dedicated textile collection of its size and variety in Lancashire, the collection which stands at over 30,000 pieces of global provenance, is a truly remarkable resource. It is one of the most diverse, interesting and encyclopaedic textile collections in the UK and is known to specialists worldwide. In a digital age which is seeing a strong resurgence in the value of hand crafts, GTC champions traditional craft skills, celebrates creativity and delivers programmes of activity which have profound and positive life changing effects on individuals’ mental wellbeing and life skills, promoting a sense of community - all through participation in craft. Key activities undertaken by the charity fall into two strands; management and care of the collection including research, documentation, acquisition, interpretation and conservation. Secondly, sharing the collection with the public; catering to a broad range of ages, cultural backgrounds and skill levels. This includes delivering historic and contemporary exhibitions, artist collaborations, workshops, talks, tours, research and study visits, as well as outreach in the local community through Valley Street Textiles Studio (a joint initiative with Calico Homes).

Thank you for visiting the Valence School website. We are proud to share with you the excellent work we do with children and young people who have physical disabilities and complex medical needs. Our school is unique within the maintained sector in the whole of southern England. We cater for students aged 4 to 19 and have both day and boarding places. We have a large site with high quality teaching, social care and health care facilities. A staff team of over 200 people provides specialist teaching, social care, therapies and nursing care to an exceptionally high standard. Our overall aim is to enable every child and young person to achieve meaningful independence. Students flourish in a supportive but challenging environment, making good educational progress and achieving a range of accreditation as they get older. There is excellent support to enable students to achieve functional communication, mobility and skills for daily living. We are a Foundation Special School and are part of the Kent SEN Trust, a cooperative trust of ten schools working together to improve outcomes for all the children and young people attending the schools. In 2008 Valence became a specialist Sports College and this status plays a significant role in raising students’ achievements and their participation in high quality physical education and sport. The School works proactively with parents and external professionals to provide holistic support for every child and young person. It is also developing high quality outreach support services to local schools and more widely for children and young people in Kent who have physical disabilities who are attending mainstream schools. The School always places children and young people at the centre of all decisions it takes and it has a relentless focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for every student. It is important for us to ensure young people can make well-informed decisions about their future careers, this involves being immersed in experiences which open minds to alternative possibilities. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport released figures in November 2018 stating the UK’s roaring creative industries made a record contribution to the economy. Our school is a place where creative talent is celebrated and nurtured. We are very excited about the future of the creative industries and the futures of young people within it. We aim to diversify the Creative Sector. We achieve this by identifying, supporting and promoting non-traditional artists and filmmakers who might not otherwise consider a career in the sector. FILM: Through work with such organisations as Aik Saath and SWIPE, our Slough based YES programme provides free workshops in filmmaking open to all 11-25 year olds. ART: With the support of our Arts Council England partners HOME, we run quarterly free Meetups for all aspiring or professional artists aged 18+ alongside our new Arts Forum for leaders across Berkshire. Our clients ranging from BAFTA, BFI, Creative England, BBC, and Channel 4 contract us to devise and deliver regional and national outreach for their own training, recruitment and commissioning programmes. 2.TALENT DEVELOPMENT & PROMOTION Our goal is to develop the skills of a diverse talent pool and prepare each individual to progress on to successful paid employment in the creative industry. Through The Creative Collective, our talent development programme comprising a range of accredited and informal bespoke training workshops, as well as our one-to-one personalised Individual Progress Plan support, we ensure progress through networking, mentoring, accredited training as well as exclusive work placements, apprenticeships and connecting with funders. We have project funding from Arts Council England and work closely with NPO theatre company RIFCO. In film, our core partner (since 1999) is Pinewood Studios but we also regularly work with BFI, Screen Skills and Creative England . 3. CREATIVE & COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION From developing individual talent to supporting larger projects ranging from producing a first piece of art, to shooting your first drama, our focus is on producing projects that tell stories from new perspectives not currently seen in the mainstream media or art world. We co-develop, script, shoot and edit high-quality, emotive and engaging, cost-effective documentary, drama, animation and motion graphics and have a talent for connecting charitable and commercial clients. Through our ground breaking partnerships with companies like the BBC, Channel 4 and Disney, we continue to explore and build on new immersive content. We have developed new projects and ways of working through collaborations with global companies like SEGRO and innovative funders like The Rothschild Foundation.

We are located in Moreno Valley at: 23185 Hemlock, suite A., Moreno Valley, California 92557 This address is a drop off center and only open on Sundays as we do outreach the other days of the week. Save Lives Project– is a program with the purpose to assist Law Enforcement, Healthcare, Mental Health, Social Workers, Nonprofits, and essentials with food, meals, clothing, blankets, toys, hygiene items, medical needs, adult diapers/needs, masks, and various items at any given time. We are a Community Support Center that assists with food, clothing, hygiene, PTSD help, and services like homelessness, rapid re-housing through our partnerships to anyone in need.

The National Youth Orchestras of Scotland is unique in providing a complete orchestral experience for its students aged between 8 and 25, through its comprehensive pathway of orchestras, jazz bands, training ensembles and an ever expanding outreach programme. In addition to organising residential training programmes, intensive rehearsals and national and international concert tours, the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland is committed to introducing musical experiences to Scotland’s young people through workshops in communities throughout the country. Our ensembles inspire audiences with their outstanding skill, youthful energy and panache. Audiences marvel at the powerful sound of our large-scale orchestras, appreciate the intimacy of our smaller chamber ensembles and delight in the fresh and uplifting performances given by our jazz bands. We believe in the future of Scotland’s next generation of musicians. Our students are proud to play with Scotland’s National Youth Orchestras and we are passionate about nurturing and developing their talent.
