At Bright Pi we are passionate about supporting all those involved with the teaching and learning of mathematics; raising standards and helping all to achieve their best in the early years and primary phases. Based in the Midlands, we form a highly regarded team with wide ranging experience and up to date skills providing support to schools across the UK. The team has taught across the early years and primary age range and all have experience in local authority school improvement working with teachers, leaders and other stakeholders. Having worked as regional co-ordinators for the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM), Bright Pi maintains a close working relationship with the NCETM delivering their ever-evolving national ‘Professional Development Lead’ programme. We are proud to work alongside other partner organisations including the National Maths Hub Network. We play a key role on the strategic board for our local hub and lead on the Mastery Readiness programme for the Origin Maths Hub. This supports those schools starting their journey in Teaching for Mastery, as well as those developing their practice. In addition, Bright Pi has also provided operational external key stage 1 moderation for the Standards and Testing Agency (STA), monitoring practice in various local authorities across the country. We are accredited by NCETM as Professional Development Leads and support individual schools as well as networks with bespoke packages of support, tailored to specific need and context. Bright Pi also offers CPD sessions for all those involved in mathematics education, supporting improvement in both subject and pedagogical knowledge. We are keen to raise the profile of mathematics as a subject and enjoy working with parents, governors and the wider community.

I’m an artist based in Birmingham with a great love for all things creative. From a young age, creating has been therapeutic for me, giving an outlet and response to the changing world around me. In my late teens I took a traditional route studying Fine Art, going on to use my skills to support communities and people of all ages. This included working with play schemes and youth groups, bringing as many creative experiences as I could – despite incredibly low budgets! Over the years I developed a passion for mosaic and began to specialise in creating large scale mosaic installations, initially within educational and community environments. What I love about mosaic is its accessibility for all, and the collaboration and teamwork it brings. As a process I enjoy watching people’s confidence grow, the relationships built along the way and the pride shared in the finished product of a permanent installation on a wall or in the ground that the whole community can enjoy & share. I love that my work becomes part of a shared history for those that have worked on it, been part of the commissioning process and have inspired it. I consider myself a visual storyteller and enjoy helping others to share their stories in a unique and engaging way. I love exploring new places, meeting new people and creating bespoke and site-specific artworks. I relish the challenge of meeting a client’s brief, whatever that may be and have vast experience working with a wide range of clients over the years, working creatively in many differing environments. Throughout my career I have explored other media and methods within my commissions, moving from a purely handmade traditional approach, to incorporating digital media and new technologies. This fresh approach has expanded my vision of what can be achieved in my public artworks allowing me to widen my practice and include other mediums. It has also equipped me with new skills that I enjoy sharing through public participation and my ability to offer a wider scope of media in my response to the needs of commissioners. I’m excited to further this innovative approach and as a member of the Crafts Council and STEAMhouse Birmingham, I look forward to continuing to explore my digital and technological skills in the future. Each commission excites me and is a new adventure and I pride myself in delivering high quality permanent artworks, delivered on time and within budget. Bread 41 is an organic bakery located in Dublin 2. Our bakery specialises in long fermented breads, which are made using traditional methods and just a few simple ingredients; flour, salt and water. All our breads are hand made over two days using organic flour and other wholesome ingredients including nuts, seeds, grains and dried fruit. We will supply like-minded retailers, restaurants, hotels and cafés with bread and fresh pastries daily. In September 2018 we are launched our very own bakery/eatery Bread 41, which is located next to our bakery on Pearse Street in Dublin 2. At Bread 41, customers can buy our breads, pastries and taste amazing food. We are very excited about this opportunity, given our teams acumen for putting together incredible yet simple dishes. Everyday our kitchen will be serving up fresh lunch and breakfast options using local , seasonal, organic where possible and always ethnically sourced ingredients. Similar to our routes in the bakery, we will be focusing on fermented foods, making our own butters, jams and sourcing local organic produce where we can to support local farmers and suppliers where possible. Hagley Catholic High School is part of the Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company that was established in February 2021 with 9 other primary schools. We are a mixed 11-18 school in Hagley, Worcestershire and our Published Admissions Number (PAN) is 190 and with over 1130 students on our oversubscribed roll. We are situated in a semi-rural setting some twelve miles south west of Birmingham. The village of Hagley is within close proximity to the national motorway network and on a train line from Worcester to Birmingham, yet still enjoys views of the Clent Hills and beautiful surrounding countryside. As a Catholic School we believe that everyone is uniquely formed in the image of God and we are called to live, learn and serve in Jesus' name, by living out the Gospel values and following the compassion of Christ. Consequently, the Hagley family is a warm, caring, nurturing and generous one, in which all students, staff, parents, carers, and visitors feel part of.
