Knowledge Exchange (KE) is a collaborative, creative endeavour that translates knowledge and research into impact in society and the economy (a definition agreed by global KE/TT alliance, ATTP). PraxisAuril is the UK’s professional association for KE practitioners working in universities, private and public sector research organisations to manage IP commercialisation, collaboration and other types of engagement between researchers and external organisations to deliver social and economic impact through innovation and enhanced productivity and skills. Based in the UK but global in reach, our network includes 4000+ active KE practitioners from more than 182 member organisations as well as key sector stakeholders, industry service providers, and business representatives. Our core mission is to Develop, Promote and Connect our members and the work that they do to ensure that the UK derives economic, social and creative impact from its world-leading research base. Our national training programme is admired around the world for the quality of it content and the knowledge of the expert practitioners who deliver it. We have trained over 5,300 Knowledge Exchange practitioners from 40 countries, including 400 in China. PraxisAuril is a founding member of the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP), driving global professional standards and recognition through RTTP accreditation. Since 2002 the Cambridge-based executive team, led by Maxine Ficarra, has worked with hundreds of expert practitioner volunteers to extend the organisation’s professional development, membership and advocacy activities nationally and internationally. PraxisAuril is a company limited by guarantee. It generates income from membership fees, professional development training courses, conferences and other services and events. Any profits are reinvested strategically into projects and initiatives to develop, promote and connect the Knowledge Exchange community.

Stage Seasons of rehearsed readings such as our First Stage (formerly Naked Stage) and MaD (Monologues and Duologues) seasons. Hi, I’m Elspeth, avid crafter and professional rag rugger (now that’s something I never thought I would say!) When I was 14 I was asked to make a costume for my school’s recycled fashion show. I’d grown up with my mum’s rag rugs all over the house and thought it would make the perfect medium for my outfit. Hours and hours and t-shirts and t-shirts later, I finished my costume… which was possibly the most uncomfortable outfit ever made (try telling a teenager they have to line something). I won second prize for my efforts but decided that rag rug clothing wasn’t exactly the easiest place to start… a rug would do for my next project. That’s where my story began and I’ve been rag rugging ever since.

The British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) is a society with an international membership of neuroscience researchers and healthcare professionals. It is with great sadness and concern that we see the unfolding war in Ukraine. The BAP abhors the use of war or other violence and sees no place for either in settling disputes of any kind. We hope and plead for a rapid and peaceful resolution to this conflict so that human suffering is minimised. We call for all agencies and organisations providing relief in the region to receive the support and resources they need to respond to the crisis. We plead that they are not prevented from providing humanitarian and medical assistance to those in need. BAP has donated to the DEC Emergency Relief Fund in support of humanitarian and medical efforts in the region and we ask you to consider contributing to organisations which are involved in relief efforts for helping civilian casualties and refugees.
