Introduction to Mental Health Age Range: 9yrs – 11yrs Course Length: 90 Minutes Cost:  £20 + vat per child Maximum of 12  SYLLABUS A range of subjects are covered, including:- Legalities, responsibilities and reporting Dealing with an unresponsive casualty Fractures and spinal injuries Resuscitation and AED awareness Assessment of the situation CERTIFICATION Control of bleeding Shock (including Anaphylaxis) Heart attacks Head injuries Sprains and strains Poisoning Bandaging Choking Eye injuries Chest injuries Maximum of 12 People All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aiders that can treat their casualties promptly, safely and effectively. Where a workplace First Aid Risk Assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the Workplace. This accredited Three-Day Qualification will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The Certificate is valid for 3 years and will expire from the date on the certificate. Our Children’s First Aid training courses are designed with the unique needs of children in mind. We understand that children are not just small adults – they have specific medical needs and emergencies that require specialised knowledge and skills. Our Children’s First Aid courses cover a wide range of topics, including CPR for Infants and Children, Choking Prevention and Intervention, Wound Care, and recognising signs of common childhood illnesses and conditions. Our experienced Instructors provide hands-on training during the Children’s First Aid Courses using child-sized mannequins and other equipment specifically designed for Paediatric First-Aid training. This ensures that our trainees are well-prepared to handle real-life emergencies involving children.

Learners will develop knowledge from the FD&FA maintenance module (C01M05) and/or industry experience and apply this to the ‘recommendations for special inspection on the appointment of a new servicing organization’.

This is an excellent introduction to health and safety in the workplace and will benefit all employees, particularly those who may be accepting a health and safety role, such as a safety representative within their organisation. A range of subjects are covered including: The roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace The value and process of risk assessments The identification and control of workplace hazards How to respond to workplace incidents and accidents.

This course includes all the content of the 1 day First Aid for Mental Health, and in addition provides insight into a wider range of mental health conditions. It explores the range of therapies and professional support an individual may be offered. The course is suitable for all within a workplace although is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial level position and/or are responsible for implementing a positive mental health culture for First Aid for Mental Health within an organisation.
