Description Climate Change Diploma  Industrialisation and technological advancements in recent decades have adversely impacted the Earth's environment and climatic conditions. Climate change, directly and indirectly, affects the life of humanity and the rest of the organisms. Hence, it has become crucial to be aware of the climate crisis and foster a strong understanding of its effects. This Climate Change Diploma course introduces the students to many aspects of climate change. The areas explored in this Course include the Earth's biomes, structural development, oceans, and climate regulation. One will also study the influence of human activities such as industrialisation and agriculture, the response of humanity to the climate crisis, and how the Earth's climatic conditions will look in the future. Climate change or crisis refers to extended alterations in weather patterns and temperature. These alterations can also occur naturally. However, the rapid change in climate since the 19th century is predominantly due to human activities, including fossil fuel combustion (like oil, gas, and coal), which creates gases that trap heat (greenhouse gases). The Climate Change Diploma course introduces climate, its scientific study, and the effect of greenhouse gases on the Earth's natural conditions. Later, the Course explores the development and history of the Earth's composition and its relation to the surface climate. About this Training Course This interactive training course and workshop session is developed to provide a catalyst for transformation of the legacy systems and adapting to the upcoming trends in the near future in the LPG supply chain. Training Objectives This course is developed to meet the needs LPG producers, Gas Tankers and Terminals operators, and fraternity of stakeholders, with the following underlying objectives: Conduct assessment of current standards and management systems in context of market forces and economics of demand and supply; Explore impact of emerging markets and user segments of LPG transiting from oil or electricity use; Identify avenues in need of production process review for enhancing the quality in terms of energy content of LPG; Evaluate current and future trends in LPG transportation and the influence of regulatory regimes and incentive schemes, for investment in Storage Terminals and distribution networks; Identify the operations and protocols to be adaptable for compliance with new regulations and trends; Establish transportation and distribution cost control mechanism at optimum level; and Develop guidelines and SOPs for contamination free transfer, loading and discharging of LPG Tankers.
