I am also the only instructor of Hercules Driving School, to give all my students the personal, patient attention they deserve and need. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Programme for Management Development and has substantial training in Organisational Development, Action Centred Leadership and Negotiation. Dr Iain Lucas is the Chief Officer for the Rowner Community Trust. His role is to ensure the Trust enhance Grange Ward’s community well-being through improving the social, economic, environmental and cultural conditions identified by individuals and their communities as it is essential for them to flourish and fulfil their potential whilst being accountable to the community the Trust serves. Kim Lucas is the Project Coordinator. Kim runs the Gosport Youth Employment Skills (YES) Hub and Employment Access Centre funded by the Department for Works and Pensions and Gosport Borough Council. Victoria Smith runs the marketing (traditional and digital) for the Nimrod Community Centre and Rowner Community Trust. Victoria will be keeping the information on what is going on at the centre up to date and relevant. Carl Parkins is the Well-Being Practitioner for the young people who attend the Gosport YES Hub. Carl will be supporting the young people as they aim to move back into work, education or training. Daniel Brown is the Youth and Community Worker for the YES Hub and will be working alongside Kim and Carl. Daniel will support clients in creating personal plans to set attainable goals in the short term and explore long-term aspirations.

'' Stonar is a school with, in my experience, a unique and wonderful charm. I am fortunate to live on our beautiful school site with my wife and my three children, all of whom attend Stonar. Having spent my twenties as an Infantry Officer in the army, I have worked in boarding and day schools for nearly 25 years, including ten years as a boarding Housemaster. I joined Stonar in September 2019. It's certainly been an interesting period to be a Head, but I am incredibly proud of the way that the pupils, staff and parents have responded to the challenges we have encountered as a result of Covid. We have improvised, adapted and overcome anything we have faced, but most importantly, we've thrived. Stonar is a kind, hard-working, happy school, with a family-oriented community. Children have the freedom to be themselves without the fear of being judged, and this, in turn, encourages their motivation to succeed. Chris Barson founded Positive About Autism in January 2009. Prior to that Chris was External Training Manager for the National Autistic Society. Chris has a long involvement with disability and autism. After studying drama at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff he started out as a drama tutor with Arts for Disabled People in Wales. Chris trained as a learning disabilities Nurse at University Hospital Wales. After qualifying Chris became a Community Nurse for people with learning disabilities. Moving from Community Nursing into a specialist setting, Chris gained experience in intensive support for people who present a severe challenge to services. Chris first joined the National Autistic Society (NAS) in 1996 as a Project Officer in Wales on a Children in Need project reviewing short term care provision. After working with the NAS Regional Development Team promoting service development throughout the UK. Chris went to work at the Royal College of General Practitioners, in 2000, where he managed Professional Development and Quality programmes. Chris rejoined NAS in 2004.Chris has contributed to the design and delivery of courses provided by Canterbury Christ Church University, and University of Cumbria. Chris is a contributing author to ‘The Autism Spectrum in the 21st Century:Exploring Psychology, Biology and Practice’ Jessica Kingsley Press 2010 (Highly Commended 2011 BMA Medical Book Awards)

ABC Paramedic Services was set up by our Training and Event Manager, Craig Gray. Craig spent fifteen years working in front line Emergency Services within the Scottish Ambulance Service in Edinburgh. The final six years of this was spent as a First Response Paramedic on a Rapid Response Vehicle dealing predominately with Class A / Red (i.e. potentially life threatening) emergencies. In 2011 Craig became the first Paramedic in the history of the Scottish Ambulance Service to be awarded ‘The Chief Executive’s Special Award’ for displaying the highest levels of commitment and professionalism in his job. Craig’s considerable knowledge and expertise extends to the private sector including delivering First Aid Training to Healthcare Professionals, courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, and providing Medical Cover at events such as ‘T in the Park’, ‘The Edinburgh Tattoo’ and the ‘Queen’s Garden Party’. In 2012, Craig provided Paramedic level cover as Chief Medical Officer at the ‘Urdd National Eisteddfod’ festival in Wales with over 100,000 spectators in attendance. Craig has also employed his medical skills for charitable causes, running a medical clinic in a remote part of North East India as well as being involved in a pioneering ‘out of hospital Cardiac Arrest’ study aimed at improving CPR skills. Craig takes a very personal, hands-on approach to the business and is actively involved in the strategic developments of all training, events, and projects.

FACING HARDSHIP, HAVING TROUBLES, OR NEED INSPIRATION? WE’VE ALL BEEN THERE. The Beating the Odds Foundation was founded in 1990 by Rocco Scalzi, a former Altoona Pennsylvania police officer who managed to re-focus his life after a tragic incident in 1980 during his rookie year. After choosing to turn his life around despite facing many obstacles, Rocco took his message of hope to kids all across the country. He recognized how all children are at-risk to become victims of poor choices and other self-destructive behaviors. And although certain at-risk factors are easy to identify in some youth, it is impossible to predict how everyone will react when faced with hardships. So Rocco’s message to the youth of America focused on the importance of developing a never-give-up attitude. To officially kick off his inspirational organization, Rocco brought 15,000 students to Three Rivers Stadium, then-home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, to hear first-hand how other people had reached their dreams and goals despite the obstacles they faced. The first two individuals who joined Rocco that day were former Pittsburgh Steeler great and Vietnam War hero Rocky Bleier (who now serves as Co-Chairman of the Beating the Odds Foundation) and Vietnam War hero Bob Wieland. Both have remained important members of the Beating the Odds Foundation and still inspire students and adults to never give up.
