As an active dive club we are out diving 7 days a week, which means your course can be completely tailored to your availability with small groups or 121 sessions. Not only do we have our own private training facility in Princes Dock itself, we also have our own on site shop, classroom and top class facilities, and our weekly pool night on a Wednesday! The Lewis Dunne Foundation (LDF) provides a community centred approach to children, young people and families. Following the devastating loss of wholly innocent Lewis who was killed by a single shotgun blast as he walked along the Liverpool - Leeds canal in Eldonian Village, Liverpool. At the time Lewis had planned to meet a friend on the night of 15th November 2015. LDF was set up to combat the exploitation and recruitment of Children and Young People into criminal behaviour. LDF aims to restore safer communities that develop Young People who are socially aware and make positive decisions. The Children, Young People and Families across Merseyside are challenged at a local level, where vulnerable and exposed young people are engaging with LDF through the awareness of Gun, Knife and Drug crime. Work is already being conducted with at risk young people who share an openness and key indicators of criminal exploitation. Drawing focus and attention to the negative impact this has on individuals, families and whole communities.

L.G.M. Training was formed in 2002 and is a family run business which is run by my self (Liam) and my wife Denise and son Paul. During the last seven years we have trained thousands of individuals in a variety of backgrounds and fields which have included industrial, construction, utilities and civil. We have catered for lots of different industries some of which are Water treatment, electricity suppliers, nuclear fuels, the fire brigade, aerospace, local councils, government contracts as well as small companies and individuals. Delivering courses for other training companies has very often left our hands tied as regards facilities and equipment, training aids and quality guidance booklets. So we decided to set up our own training centre which will allow us to control the whole package and deliver courses to a better standard. This of course will take time to achieve and will not happen over night but hopefully anybody who visits our training centre either for training or just to visit will hopefully see what we are striving for. Merseyside Polonia is the most recognised Polish not for profit organisation in the Northwest of England. It was established in 2009 as a charitable organisation. The organisation is based in Liverpool but the project and events often involve communities from other boroughs on both sides of the River Mersey. In the past few years, Merseyside Polonia has built up strong links with local authorities and services, arts and community organisations as well as other institutions and founders: among them Liverpool City Council, Polish Cultural Insititute in London or BBC Children in Need. The organisation was registered on 9th of June 2009 and is governed by a Board of Trustees. Merseyside Polonia governing documents are Memorandum and Articles of Association. Main objects of the organisation are: to raise awareness of the Polish Community and culture among the local community to support community development of Polish and other communities to build community cohesion by increasing understanding between communities representing different cultural backgrounds Areas of work ARTS Polish names such as Polanski, Chopin or Lem are well known worldwide. Our aim is to give you a chance to celebrate and experience contemporary Polish arts in Liverpool together. We support a range of activities across the arts – from literature and film festivals, reading groups, poetry slams, film premiers, to music concerts and dance workshops. In the past few years we have been working with local artists, well known Polish writers and filmmakers, storytellers, poets, musicians, UK based publishers, arts institutions, and venues. CULTURE A culture is a great tool for building strong relationships. We believe that a variety of events we offer give our participants an opportunity to engage and explore culture in many creative forms. We organise Family Arts and Crafts Workshops, celebrate Polish and English traditions, such as: Christmas, St Andrews Night, Polish Midsummer Festival, and more. All this allows participants of our events to be part of the famously diverse culture of Liverpool. HISTORY If you would like to find out more about Poland, Polish people and the role they played in the history of Merseyside, you have arrived at the right place. Merseyside Polonia engages with residents, local groups, schools and guests, to create greater awareness, appreciation and opportunities for celebrating the fascinating history of Poland.
