Since 2009, we have been finding the easiest Low Tech ways to cultivate mushrooms. Mushroom growing can be a complex process, but we believe that anyone can do it if they choose the right methods. So, we created GroCycle: an innovative social enterprise based in Devon, United Kingdom with a mission to teach everyone the easy way to grow mushrooms. GroCycle offers a range of mushroom growing courses, including the flagship Low Tech Mushroom Farming Online Course, which includes more than 70 video lessons with step-by-step instructions for planning, building and running a small scale mushroom farm. Those not ready for a full course can check out GroCycle’s mushroom growing kits, which are perfect for anyone who wants to grow mushrooms at home in the simplest way. darren le baron

Darren Le Baron is an educator, researcher and event organizer based in the UK. Known around the world for his Shroomshop Master classes he is keen mushroom cultivator and teacher. He has been growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms for over ten years and has translated his home growing experiences into a social enterprise. He is an Organic Horticulturist and Permaculture tutor who supports schools, businesses and so called hard to reach communities around the world to create holistic and sustainable working systems. Darren is a knowledgeable and dynamic speaker who is passionate about sharing his research and findings on ancient African plant medicines, the history and various applications. He is a member and presenter at the London Psychedelic Society, a chair and Breaking Convention committee member. He is also a regular presenter at the Detroit Psychedelic Conference, Ozora, Noisily and Lightening in a Bottle Festivals, as well as numerous gatherings around the world sharing his extensive research on psychedelics and how they can help support humanity in the here and now. Collectively his work aims to inform and empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to cope with social challenges and contribute to community development as well as self-improvement in an innovative, creative, culturally-aware style.

Wild Wood Growers was born from a love of growing and working with plants which has emerged in many iterations from kitchen gardening, allotment keeping, herbalism, aromatherapy and plant medicine. Our dream for Wild Wood Growers, is to produce high quality, nutritious and locally grown mushrooms, herbs and microgreens for the wider community that will be available at seasonal farmer’s markets in Yorkshire and here in our online shop.

Resident tutor, Giuseppe Sinaguglia, trained in Sicily and worked extensively in hotels throughout Italy, including the Brunelleschi in Florence, before arriving in England several years ago. Prior to becoming Head Chef at the Manor House Hotel, Studland Bay, Giuseppe worked for Marco Pierre White at The Criterion, Piccadilly and spent two years as Head Chef of Carluccio's, Market Place. Currently he is the Forager for The Pig on the Beach Hotel in Studland Bay.
