Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school for pupils aged 3–19. Our core offer supports individuals with neurological motor impairment such as cerebral palsy to access a conductive education cirriculum. These students have a range of abilities and associated learning difficulties arising from cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Some of our students also have additional needs like visual impairment, hearing impairment and more complex medical needs. We also offer a bespoke specialist provision for secondary aged students with social and communication needs, and / or sensory processing difficulties. Our ‘School for Parents’ service supports some children under five years old who may be experiencing delayed motor skills and can benefit from small focused group work, alongside advise, in relation to early development, where appropriate (Please refer to our Terms of Service). Ingfield Manor school offers day school places and weekly residential places in our Acorns provision for those children and young people where it is deemed appropriate. The popular introductory Herbal Correspondence Course is now run from our herb farm on the Isle of Arran and is an excellent intro if you are interested in treating yourself or your family and also for aspiring herbal students who can use it as an access course for University entrance and to see if the profession is for them. If you decide to enrol Keith Robertson MSc. F.NIMH will be your tutor for your assignments and he has over 30 years experience in the field. We also provide regular practical Herbal Medicine classes on Arran offering herb walks, plant ID, medicine making, botanical drawing etc and these form part of our new apprenticeship programme or they can be booked separately. This site remains an archive for the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine which was founded in 1992 by Medical Herbalists Maureen and Keith Robertson F.NIMH. It rose to almost mythical status as the world’s leading School for teaching a holistic balance of traditional and modern Herbal Medicine and importantly championing an energetic approach to treatment. The School had a world first with its M.Sc. programme and many of today's practitioners benefited from its 4 year B.Sc. programme. Being externally validated rather than being part of the mainstream University system gave us the autonomy to develop courses with real heart (we developed ground breaking research methodologies such as Goethean/Contemplative Science and promoted, for instance, case series research) but in the end, as a small educational charity, we were competing at the height with 7 other Universities!! The market was essentially flooded by 3 year courses and when the recession bit student numbers dropped and we were the 3rd U.K. degree programme to have to close its doors. Intake for the Massage and Aromatherapy courses also ceased. Perhaps however, the School had achieved its main objective – to equip the world with a sizeable number of top graduates who carry traditional and modern Herbal wisdom within a working energetic framework. This means that as a teacher and therapist I can maintain the integrity of what I teach without recourse to "branded" models of Pilates and Yoga. I work closely with Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and other Holistic Practitioners to provide a complete clinical referral system. PY Therapies Pilates Studio Having come to Pilates and Yoga more than 20 years ago via my own search for a rehabilitation programme following the births of my four children, I wanted to share this knowledge and provide a safe and nurturing environment where clients could exercise with dignity and improve their condition regardless of age or ability. The studio has been specifically designed and equipped to ensure comfort and safety as well as challenge you as you strengthen your body using, in the first instance, gentle yet powerful low range movement performed in alignment to address any issues and correct musculoskeletal imbalance. Therapeutic Pilates and Yoga Mat Bench classes are small (max 4) and are designed to teach concentration, control, centering, precision and slow, flowing movement in harmony with the breath to promote functional strength, improve posture and promote grace and balance. Each mat bench station (medical grade vinyl) has its own dedicated box of small equipment, which is sterilised after each use. Everyone is personally assessed by myself prior to taking part. In some cases, I may recommend one to one tuition in the first instance. Some of the services we offer include: Mat Bench Classes (max 4, small equipment). Duets, Trios and One to one personal training using larger equipment such as the Pilates Reformer, Pilates chair and Iyengar Yoga wall. Interactive live online classes and consultations. Ante and post-natal care are available to ensure you are in tip top condition to give birth and to assist return to fitness afterwards. Sports specific training to prevent and treat injury as well as enhance performance to ensure you derive optimum pleasure and results from your chosen sport. Carole Jacobs also delivers workshops designed to your requirements, corporate, teacher training or private. I am also a Reiki Master Practitioner and massage therapist and these therapies are also available to enhance your wellbeing and improve physical condition.

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI), a project of Fauji Foundation, was established under a Federal Charter in October 2002. The University has been rated as category 'W4' (the highest rating category) by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The academic programmes offered by FUI are duly accredited by Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), National Technology Council (NTC) and Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). As a higher education institute (HEI), FUI, on priority, establishes linkages with other HEIs at national as well as international levels, local community and corporate sector, especially Fauji Foundation industries.
