The birds are chirping, the gentle wind rolls across the hills while wellington boots search for puddles. The woodland has been checked and the equipment is ready to be taken with us, our focus in on the wellbeing, physical and emotional, of each person within our community. Gathering together, we check in on how each person is feeling and what they wish to explore during their time in nature. We introduce new ideas and invite them to engage our help when they wish to. The woodland space is a blank canvas, full of textures and materials to enrich the senses and stimulate the learning journeys that we will all undertake. As leaders we have both an idea for the direction of the day should learners need us to provide this for them, but also understand the importance of encouraging them to decide their own direction. During this time of exploration and discovery, our role as a leader is to provide the nurturing they need whilst also encouraging them to stay with challenge and to make sense of the experiences they have. Through review and reflection their voices are heard, and their emotions are recognised.

You do not need to be experienced to come to our classes as we will guide you every step of the way.  Most workshops are designed for beginners and where more experience is required, the workshops are indicated by levels: * Level 1: beginner * Level 2: intermediate * Level 3: advance Our main aim is to encourage creativity, promote confidence and definitely have fun in a relaxed environment in which to learn new skills.  We run short 2.5 hours course in Bracknell, Berkshire.  Your tutor, Anne is an experienced, fun and enthusiastic. This is our 6th year running our workshops and we love it! Each year we try to offer different workshop themes. This year is no exception!   All equipment and materials required for our classes are provided on the day. We try to keep our group small, to give you as much space as possible, this also allows us to be able to help you should you need it.

Join one of our Lovely, lively language classes for adults. We have 500 classes in the UK, just waiting for you to learn French, Spanish or Italian for fun!At the time, I was teaching in an FE college, and in a Primary School and studying for a PGCE in adult education. I quickly realised that many of the games and interactive techniques that the children enjoyed could be adapted for adult pupils. I decided to trial a language course for adults where the focus was on fun and conversation, rather than results and written work. So in 2007 I created French for Fun and held my first classes in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Through trial and error, I came up with a regular weekly format that worked and incorporated the learning theory from my PGCE. The classes are now built around a series of conversations, so everyone gets up and talks in every lesson at the same time (no trembling in front of the class). In January 2010, after enrolling our 60th student, I decided to see if French for Fun worked with other languages. In March 2010, Sally and Alejandra started to translate the programme in to Spanish with great success and we have also finished the Italian translation. I also started to offer licences to other teachers, training them to use my materials and supporting them to set up their own language teaching business. We now have 100 teachers dotted around the country and we’re training more all the time, so there will be a class coming to somewhere near you soon. Yippee! In 2019 we expanded to open our second centre in Kings Walk, Winchester! Our new centre features a lot of the same great workshops and products as Fair Oak but also offers private hire spaces, our own tea rooms and lots of exciting new activities too. Our unique Craft Centres offer not only a lovely shopping experience for all your craft materials but also a chance to take a seat and craft or leave the children to be entertained whilst you relax.
