We deliver CSCS approved courses from the Base Business Space in Hull every Monday and Friday. Other days available on request! We also have access to a onsite CITB Test Centre! We have been supporting clients gain a CSCS Labourers and Skilled cards for over 10 years!

This one-day course is a must for all construction operatives! Not only is this a legal requirement under CDM 2015, but if your Company is accredited to CHAS or similar SSIP schemes you must be able to demonstrate that suitable training has been provided to your staff. The Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015 (CDM) sets the requirement for all workers to have the right skills, knowledge, training, and experience. Aims To give a clear understanding of Regulations & Legislation that applies to construction work and is an ideal refresher for any operative that has previously completed training in Health & Safety. Assessment At the end of this course, all delegates will have a clear understanding of the requirements of Health and Safety Legislation and their responsibilities to comply with them. Manual Handling covers more than simply lifting or carrying something. The term is used to describe activities such as lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, moving, holding or restraining an object or person. It also covers activities that require the use of force or effort such as pulling a lever or operating power tools. The aim of the course is to provide a theoretical knowledge and the practical skills to recognise the risk of unsafe practices.

Manual handling training will reduce risks in the workplace, accidents account for more than a third of all accidents reported each year.

Carried out by qualified instructors, the Manual Handling Training course is designed to cover a number of Manual Handling topics. It will enable the candidate on completion to recognise a manual handling problem. It will give them the tools to be able to initiate a risk assessment and lift or carry in a safe manner. We can deliver these courses in-house or to gain Qualsafe certification. Fully Qualified and Highly Experienced Instructors. Half day course (2-3 Hours). There is a Maximum of up to 20 Candidates per Manual Handling training course, however we can run two courses per day with one manual handling instructor. We also have more manual handling instructors available, if it is required. This means we can run courses simultaneously should the facilities be available to do so. The course information is based on the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, amended 2002. It is also covered under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
