Burning fossil fuels for energy is a major source of carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere. It explores in detail the challenges of the current technology of geological storage, monitoring and verification including examples from working projects around the world. Many of these technologies are commonly employed by the petroleum industry. He has authored multiple peer reviewed journal articles, co-authored various confidential reports on CO2 capture, utilization and hydrogen production and utility, and has presented his work at various conferences, symposiums and seminars.
