Rowanbank is an Environmental Arts & Education social enterprise, that creates magical outdoor experiences. From shows in urban woodlands and remote beaches to climate change workshops in schools. We produce innovative family-friendly events, workshops and performances that inspire and delight audiences throughout the UK and beyond. Rowanbank combines science with the arts to bring people together to experience, enjoy and learn how to better care for their environment. We engage people in an imaginative and inclusive way, helping them to connect with and experience the magic of nature. We set up and run forest schools; we train teachers and other educators in creative approaches to outdoor learning; we facilitate Positive Imaginings through our climate education programme; our forest circus performers twirl from the branches of giant trees in city parks and remote woodlands; and our sea circus performers make a splash wherever they appear!

The Potteries - Pottery & Wellness Studio Welcome to the magical & creative pottery painting experience available at The Potteries. We are based in a quant seaside town of Hornsea, East Yorkshire in a Retail Outlet village that was home to Hornsea Pottery. Just opening our doors on 28th October 2023, we aim to offer a fusion of creativity, fun and mindfulness through pottery painting, workshops, courses & parties. Choose from over 120 different bisque pottery with the main themes being * Seasonal (Christmas, Valentines, Mothers Day, Easter, Fathers Day, Seaside, Halloween), * Fantasy & magic, * Animal kingdom, * Home & Garden and * Kitchenalia    Prices start from as little as £10 and includes 2 hours, equipment, paints, glazing and firing.   Please allow 7-14 days for the glazing and firing to be completed.  An additional 7 days may be required during busy periods. Welcome to my journey! I started dancing at the age of 3 at Vacani Ballet School but didn't voyage through belly dance until my teenage years, through my love of Bollywood and Tamil cinema. I was attracted to belly dance like a moth to a flame. I had an avid interest in intuitive ways of living and healing through movement. After suffering serious health challenges and feeling disconnected from my body, I was in need of grounding and feeling whole again. I found my home in belly dance, because it reconciled me with my dear body. Hi I'm Lisa and I live in the middle of the Test Valley in Hampshire, with my husband, two children, my dog Inca and cat Ebury. After having my son George in 2015 and moving from a city to a village, I decided to put my career in the corporate world on hold and spend time at home being a mummy. This life style change enabled me to explore my creative side. I loved living in a village and joined one of the local village WI groups and their craft club. I also took a number of workshops including blind making and cake decorating. However my love of jewellery, magpie tendencies and previous experience with bead work, soon lead me to the magic of Silver Clay. Once I found Silver Clay I was hooked! My ability and design ideas soon had my teacher suggesting I start a small business. This is how Country Designs by Lisa was born in 2017. All my work is inspired by the country side and nature around me. I love nothing more than going foraging on a dog walk or when out and about with my children and often come back with pockets filled with more items collected on walks than my children! . I love to learn and am continuing to update my skills and over the last few years I have added traditional silversmith techniques to my work. I have also passed my Level 1 and Level 2 Art Clay certificates and i'm currently working towards my Level 3. Gaining Level 1 & 2 enables me to teach under the Art Clay banner, this was very important for me to pass before I started to teach as it gives me the knowledge and skills to teach my students correctly. Most of my range, except some smaller items, are fully hallmarked by the London Assay Office. This is a 700 year old tradition that gives buyers the assurance they are buying a quality item which has been fully tested by the Assay Office. luke cunningham - piano tutor

I currently live in Edinburgh working full-time as a music tutor and performing musician. I graduated with a BA in Popular Music from Edinburgh Napier University where I was able to hone my craft by composing, performing, improvising, and training on the piano and guitar. I have surrounded myself with many great musicians and other piano teachers who keep me inspired and on top of my game. Jazz and popular music is my specialty however, I have studied classical piano and love Bartok, Schumann, Debussy, and Chopin to name a few. Each person has their own desires and reasons for playing music so I do not simply teach from a single textbook. I value good technique and an understanding of music theory but also seek to inspire and foster creativity. I have spent countless hours and hundreds of pounds researching music books and teaching methods. Fully equipped, this allows me to tailor each lesson to the student's aims, allowing them to love playing music while developing their technical skillset. At present, I have around 25 students a week as a private music teacher here at my home, or at their homes. As a live performer, I work with three live performance agencies, WooHoo, Banana Row, and Music For Scotland. They send me bookings for performances at weddings, parties, and corporate and private events across Scotland and the UK. Also, I work with various bands in Edinburgh and Glasgow performing regularly in venues such as The Jazz Bar, Stramash, The Dog House, Uno Mas, The Barony Bar, and Whistle Binkies. I have just finished writing my debut album with my band Sekoya and we recorded this in Memphis, TN in November 2022 at the studio and record label Court Square Recordings. The album is due for release summer of 2023, stay tuned for the album launch event. We are also in the process of making a documentary about the making of the album this should be released around the same time, courtesy of David Hagen Media. Another creative outlet that I spend time working on is my variety performance show, a combination of magic and music mixed in with comedy, to be performed each year as a part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival under the name Luke Closely. If I am not doing this then I am busy at work with Night Owl Shows performing various tribute shows to various famous artists.
