Immerse Training is a fully regulated First Aid Training Provider. We love working in schools, nurseries and youth groups teaching young people how to keep each other safe and what to do if something goes wrong. With sessions sessions from 1 hour tasters for every class in a school, to after school first aid clubs, Immerse Training are certain to design a programme that’s right for you, your budget and your children.   We currently deliver First Aid and Life-Saving skills across a variety of settings to groups of children and young people from 4 to 14 years old, when they are able to participate in accredited First Aid courses. All of our First Aid Training for Children courses are designed in collaboration with qualified childcare practitioners and child health clinicians. Our programmes can be tailored to meet any area of the curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 3. First Aid Training for Children is a great way to prepare young people for specific activities such as Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, babysitting and sports leadership. First Aid Courses For Young People Programmes and sessions for young people focusing on how to keep each other safe and what to do if something goes wrong. Sessions are designed with age and national curriculum in mind, from 1 hour tasters to sessions for large groups, perfect as part of NCS and Duke of Edinburgh programmes. Our training for young people is fun, engaging and focuses on fundamental life saving skills.  All courses can be delivered at our training centre in Poole, Dorset or we can deliver on-site across Bournemouth, Poole, Dorset, Hampshire and the South of England.

LOOKING FOR: PICTURE BOOKS, CHAPTER BOOKS, MG, YA Lil is a Senior Editor at Hachette Children's. She has well over 15 years experience in the publishing industry, working for major publishers and literary agents too.  For twelve years, Lil was a Senior Commissioning Editor at Working Partners Ltd – the creatives behind massive commercial hits such as Beast Quest, Warriors and the Daisy Meadows series. There she created globally successful concepts for every age group and developed storylines so the books were unputdownable. Lil is also an author in her own right: she has written 6 books under her own name, and ghost written many others under various pseudonyms.  In every age level, Lil would like to see originality - particularly in voice. A strong character with depth, venturing on a quest that's never been undertaken before will get her excited. The 'quest' doesn't have to be epic in scale, it could be as small as petting the next-door neighbour's dog, or getting the good looking new kid to notice you, it just has to be something a reader will want to invest in. She also loves humour and is happy to see anything quirky (perhaps even downright silly!).  For picture books, Lil would like you to submit a covering letter, and 1 complete manuscript, double-spaced, with spreads marked out, in a single word or PDF doc. LOOKING FOR: PICTURE BOOKS, MG, YA With a career that has spanned publishing, literary charities and bookselling, Carolyn May McGlone founded the May Literary Agency in 2024 with a focus on the power of creativity to change the world. She is looking for children’s and young adult stories that encourage empathy and hope, which inspire and/or champion new and diverse perspectives, and which speak to your heart and soul. Carolyn is not the right fit for books that have elements of crime, horror or sci-fi. In one single word document, Carolyn would like you to submit a covering letter, a one page synopsis and the first three chapters or 5,000 words of your manuscript, whichever is shorter. For picture books, please submit a covering letter and up to three completed texts. The cost of the Retreat is £625. A deposit of £325 secures your space with the remaining £300 payable by September. From the moment we are born, even before we are born, we are experiencing loss. Our sorrows can gather and grow and become the path that we most fear to tread. If only we collectively knew that by giving ourselves an opportunity to be with our sorrow and turn towards our hidden pain, we may find our way home to our Self sooner.  We have to be able to grieve to praise life and connect with our full authentic selves, it is testament to the fact that we love. Grief gets stuck and like trauma, it is downloaded into our bodies, which stops the flow of our accurate present moment experiences, our access to Self-Energy and living freely. We are wired to connect and co-regulate to survive. Connection in community is no longer a priority in many societies today. We may have lost the sense of belonging that our ancestors once had, through living in community, in tribes and villages.  This 3-day retreat offers a unique space of holding for expressing the unexpressed, being witnessed, enabling each in their own way to be seen, heard and felt together in community. This is often our missing experience. We will be laying the ground for the expression and witnessing of grief in community, that which is deeply personal, yet universal. Four passionate grief warriors who know from the inside the importance of being with grief and having walked this path with many, are offering an opportunity to honour our losses and live our fullest life. We will be stepping outside of our cultural burdens of individualism to come together with our sorrow.  We will be exploring grief as much broader than (and including) the loss of a loved one. We may also experience the grief of our expectations not being met for this life; grief held in our systems from our ancestors; grief of events in the world; grief about the harm we have caused others in our lives; the grief that our parts hold as our life changes as we and our families age; and the grief held by our parts as we heal and consider how different things could have been for them.  This retreat will be held within the frame of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), with heart opening sacred ritual and ceremony, incorporating sound healing, gongs, drums and voice and supported by yoga, Reiki, meditation and internal enquiry. We will be making use of the beautiful grounds at Penny Brohn (Bristol) to support our healing and connecting intentions. Our retreat is suitable for anyone with some familiarity with IFS either through your own personal work or professional practice.  The space will be held by Lynn Palethorpe, Sally Burke, Zandra Bamford and Becky Cresswell.  Lynn is a gentle and containing Approved IFS Consultant, Certified IFS Therapist (L3) and Clinical and IFS Supervisor. Alongside her private practice, she’s a Program Assistant on IFS trainings, Lecturer in Counselling and Reiki Practitioner. Sally works collaboratively and compassionately as an Integrative Psychotherapist, Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, IFS Certified Therapist, Approved Consultant with the IFS Institute and Reiki Practitioner. Zandra is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Approved IFS Consultant and Certified IFS Therapist with over 20 years experience working with complex trauma within a deeply compassionate and holistic approach. This Level 3 Course is a full 3 day first aid at work course which is designed to help higher risk organisations. We can come nationwide or you can come to us.

The Night Rating can be added to a PPL or LAPL, once completed, the rating permits you to fly at night under certain conditions. Once started, the rating must be completed in 6 months, from the start date. Take to the night skies and enjoy a total different and unique flying experience. Our night flying training will lead to an additional rating for your PPL or LAPL pilot licence allowing you to fly at night. We would love to join you on your new challenge as a qualified pilot.
