Medway NHS Foundation Trust operates a single-site hospital based in Gillingham, Medway Maritime Hospital, which serves a population of more than 424,000 across Medway and Swale. We provide clinical services to almost half a million patients a year, including more than 125,000 Emergency Department attendances, more than 88,000 admissions, more than 278,000 outpatients appointments and more than 5,000 babies born last year. Under the leadership of Artistic Director and founder Dr Sharon Williams, the company’s motivation is to use the power of interactive theatre to entertain, to ignite curiosity, provoke thought, and to educate young people to enable them to make informed choices. Through an interactive approach, the audiences have a greater emotional engagement with the topics and empathy with the characters. All performances have had a notable impact on the audiences, both in terms of the theatrical experience and a continuing dialogue with the audiences. The N-Act team comprises professional actors with extensive experience of TV, film, theatre, script writing and backstage production with many successful workshops and performances in the wider community. After his degree, he worked as a teacher of Science in Blackheath Bluecoat C of E School, also became deputy of the department. Dr Ajeleti undertook his teacher training at Canterbury Christ Church University, obtaining Qualified Teacher Status. He received the grade ‘outstanding’ for his role as a teacher, and this was recognised by Ofsted. During this time, he was still determined to pursue a career in medicine, graduating from the Medical University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland. Dr Ajeleti graduated at the top of his class and is currently training in the London Deanery. Raised in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Dr Ajeleti has made it his duty to encourage young people to get involved in medicine and other healthcare professions. As the co-founder of Modern Day medics, he aims to help prospective medical students from BME backgrounds to reach their full potential. He was also a recipient of the Beany scholarship for the best final year OSCE result. In 2012, he was recognised as a one of the top 100 future leaders and at University, he sat on a number of society committees as well as co-founding Inspire the youth CIC. After medical school, he undertook his foundation training in Trent deanery and core medical training in South London. During his junior doctor training, he served as a regional representative for foundation doctors and he was a clinical guidance associate at one of his local hospitals. He is currently a gastroenterology trainee in Kent, Surrey & Sussex deanery where he sits on the board for the culture and leadership change team. He is extremely passionate about seeing young people achieve their potential and dreams and with Modern Day Medics, he plans to achieve this.

A non-profit association of volunteers under the banner of the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre (BAC) was formed on December 7, 1986 under the leadership of Mr. R. Neelakanta Rao Jagdale. Mr. Jagdale has taken keen interest in the activities of the Centre. In the midst of his busy schedule as an industrialist, he has acquired considerable knowledge in the science of swimming training by obtaining certification from the American Swimming coaches Association (ASCA). The association is registered as a society under the Karnataka state societies ACT 1960. The name of the association has been subsequently changed to Basavangudi Aquatic Centre. BAC - 25 Years and Beyond Since December 1986, 25 consecutive state team championship awards. 2451 medals to the Karnataka state at the National-level Swimming Competitions. 285 National records at the National-level Swimming Competitions. 123 medals to the country at International-level swimming competitions by around 120 swimmers. Over 70 medals to the Karnataka state in the National Games conducted at Poona, Bangalore, Manipur, Hyderabad and Guwahati. Three Olympic participants - Nisha Millet (2000), Rehan Poncha (2008). and Gagan Ullalmath (2012) Four Arjun Award winners - Nisha Millet, Abhijith J. Today, it provides training using scientific methods to more than 500 swimmers on a regular basis, and over 600 swimmers during the weekend programs. BAC conducts "Learn to Swim” camps during the summer (April and May) and winter (October) seasons to impart basic water safety skills to the children and adults. Over 3000 swimmers aged between 6 to 12 years are taught water safety skills during these camps every year. BAC believes in tapping talented children at young age through their school programs. The Centre is associated with schools in the Basavangudi area and teaches basic swimming skills. The Centre provides well-maintained and hygienically-clean pool to the general public. The swimming pools at the Centre have been acclaimed as the best maintained swimming pools in the country.
