At Learning Hotspots we deliver affordable, pay as you go, small group and Hotspot sessions for children of all abilities. All of our sessions are led by fully qualified, experienced, local teachers who are able to tailor each learning experience in order to meet the needs of your child. Whether they require a confidence boost, are struggling with a particular subject or wish to further extend their existing knowledge; we can deliver high quality sessions that really make a difference, in a way that creates smiles, laughter and joy. At Learning Hotspots, your child’s happiness and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do and we believe that achievement can be measured in more ways than one. We value the whole child, and aim to develop children’s emotional, social, creative, and cognitive abilities through our range of exciting one hour Hotspot sessions. Each session is linked to a particular subject area, is fully aligned to the national curriculum and is wrapped around with nurturing, mood enhancing activities. One of our experienced teachers will lead the group learning, accompanied by a skilled assistant. With our carefully planned and well-resourced sessions, children will receive personalised, focused care in a space where they feel safe and valued. All of our classes are delivered by Azizzum and Tanveer Akhtar. They have over 40 years combined Martial Arts experience and hold 3rd degree Black Belts in Tae-Kwon-Do and Kickboxing under Master Shabir Akhtar (renowned throughout the U.K as one of the leading Instructors and practitioners of Martial Arts in the U.K ) Azizzum and Tanveer have trained in many different martial arts including Wing Chun, Thai Kick Boxing, Kung Fu and MMA. Although our classes are built on the fundamental art of Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing, principles from many other art have been blended into our system. Being a proficient Martial Artist is not the same as being a proficient Martial Arts teacher. Our highly qualified Instructors fall into both categories and both have over 15 years experience of teaching adults and children. They are also CRB checked and adhere to stringent safeguarding principles. We believe that people work best in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. We welcome people of all skill levels to Aktive Martial Arts and we enjoy seeing our students improve week on week whilst also enjoying our time in the gym.

After having trained and competed in dance competitions all over the UK for over 22 years, Sharnie Richards launched Excel Dance in 2008 with just one street dance class on a Saturday morning in Beighton. Since then, Excel Dance has grown to teach over 250 students in a full time dance academy open 6 days a week.
