Using Parametric Smart Objects (curves) instead of mesh objects means that even children as young as 11+ can now design and create their own personalised jewellery. A library of many free Parametric Smart Objects is available when downloading and unzipping the FluidDesigner assets. Blender and JewelCraft are open source and thus free to use. As such their is no cost element in using this approach to learning jewellery design.

K2 Academy of Contemporary Jewellery is the ideal place for those who want to develop their jewellery design and making skills, whilst stepping outside of mainstream boundaries and thinking critically about the creative process. Our students learn new skills and traditional jewellery techniques whilst experimenting with a variety of different materials, including base and precious metals, gemstones as well as unconventional recycling materials and found objects. In addition, we introduce them to the professional jewellery industry by teaching business skills. Classes are taught in small groups of no more than 10 students, enabling you to spend quality time with your tutors. I trained traditionnally in goldsmithing at Central St Martins, followed by a City and Guild. Ensuite, to have a greater knowledge of jewellery making, and hone my skills, I also attended masterclasses with master goldsmiths in Hatton Garden, where I have my workshop.
