Enjoy a total package to nourish mind, body and soul… 💗Stretch out your body with some gentle slow flow Yoga 💗Learn powerful techniques for helping release stress/anxiety/depression, relaxing and toning your nervous system 💗Indulge mindfully in a cup of blissful ceremonial grade Cacao** (like hot chocolate, but high in alkaloids & nutrients to enhance feelings of wellbeing and happiness) 💗Deeply relax for a Nidra guided mediation (with crystals), using light coded music to attune with your higher self; activating deeper healings and awakenings We will end the evening with some gluten free treats and tea; with time to connect with others, pick some oracle cards if you wish, or just ‘be’ with yourself in gentle contemplation. Tickets are just £25 (£22 concession). The mini retreat starts at 7pm and aims to finish by 9.20pm, so you will be ready to float off for a heavenly and restorative sleep. This retreat is being held by Somatic Therapist, Wellbeing and Empowerment Coach, and Kundalini Yoga Teacher – Penny Pettman. *We will be serving a meditation dose of Ceremonial grade Cacao, so should be suitable for all <3, however, if you are sensitive to Cacao you can swap this for a herbal tea of your choice which can be taken mindfully instead, just contact me in advance to arrange. the ralph veterinary referral centre

In 2008, our hospital founder Shailen Jasani, a Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care specialist, helped to treat an adorable rescue cat called Ralph, after he had been hit by a car. They went on to share a home together for two years before Ralph sadly passed away in 2010. In 2014, when Shailen embarked on his journey to set up a new and very special veterinary referral centre, it felt only right that as a lasting tribute to the wonderful Ralph, the hospital be named in his honour. Shailen’s vision is now a reality! The Ralph is very much a passion- and vision-driven hospital founded on a strong organisational culture and authentic core values.

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the Cox Green School website. It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Cox Green School from 1st January 2022. I have been part of the Senior Leadership Team at Cox Green School since 2018 and I am delighted to have been appointed to lead the school forward, working in partnership with parents and carers. As Headteacher, I will make it my duty to support our students and provide them with opportunities so that they can achieve the highest academic standards and develop their unique talents to the full. It is my belief that our students should be kind, respectful and aim for excellence in all that they do. This for me, characterises the “Cox Green Way”. The education we provide will be in line with these values and will develop your child’s knowledge, understanding and skill set so that they can become highly qualified, responsible citizens, able to participate fully in all parts of the community. the museum of english rural life (the merl)

The Museum of English Rural Life is owned and managed by the University of Reading. We use our diverse and surprising collection to explore how the skills and experiences of farmers and craftspeople, past and present, can help shape our lives now and into the future. We work alongside rural people, local communities and specialist researchers to create displays and activities that engage with important debates about the future of food and the ongoing relevance of the countryside to all our lives. We were established by academics in the Department of Agriculture in 1951 to capture and record the rapidly changing countryside following World War II. The Museum is based on Redlands Road in a building originally designed by Sir Alfred Waterhouse in 1880 for local businessman Alfred Palmer, of the Huntley & Palmer biscuit company. The house then became St Andrews Hall of Residence in 1911, and in 2005 a modern extension was built onto the house for the Museum. The Museum was awarded £1.8million from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) in 2014 for the redevelopment of the galleries, reopening in October 2016. The redevelopment strengthens and renews our links with agriculture as well as enhancing our position in supporting engagement opportunities for students and academics across a wide variety of disciplines, nationally and internationally. The MERL and Reading Museum are currently in a strategic partnership as part of the Arts Council England National Portfolio 2018-2022. As Museums Partnership Reading we work together to provide cultural opportunities for Reading’s young people and diverse communities, through schools, volunteering, digital engagement and exhibitions.
