He has great knowledge of locations as well as the technical knowledge required to create compelling images. He has been a portrait and wedding photographer for about 8 years and also provides 1 to 1 and group lessons in both. Online retouching lessons are available via Zoom or similar. The different commissions I have undertaken have taken me on journeys I might not have otherwise gone on. Connecting with the client and finding out about the reason, motivation and need for the commission sparks all kinds of ideas. My personal art practice often includes playing with a variety of art materials. Whether it's using gouache, creating digital illustrations, using ink and bamboo or cutting into cardboard envelopes to create a scene, there is always some new way to use these materials to express an idea. Biography Originally from the American Midwest, I trained as a Fine Art major, minoring in Art Education. I currently work in Edinburgh as both an artist and an art teacher of young children. All of my art lessons incorporate Art History and the creation of artworks inspired by the work of specific artists or even just a single work by an individual. My professional practice focuses on drawing people, architecture and creating pieces using a variety of art materials. My work has been exhibited throughout the UK and USA, notably the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh and the Barbican Artists Studios in London. I divide my work time between creating illustration pieces for various corporate and private clients and teaching children and adults.

Call John Pow on 07845591096 to enquire. About Us Most central golf course in Edinburgh Carrickvale is an Edinburgh Golf Club situated on the pleasant and easy-walking Carrick Knowe golf course. By tram (Balgreen stop) we are only ten minutes west of the city centre and fifteen minutes from Edinburgh Airport, and we welcome visiting players and groups. Green fees are very reasonable for pay-as-you-play golf, and for the regular player there are season tickets available giving access to all of the public courses in the city. Club Hire and buggy hire is also available from the starter, and all players are covered by personal liability insurance. Our active membership play in a full programme of golf throughout the year and enjoy a very comfortable clubhouse which is an ideal venue for our social events which consist of cabarets, comedy nights, Horse Race nights and dinners. The Clubhouse can be hired by members and the public for private functions – birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. At this time we cannot offer our own catering but outside catering is welcomed and we can recommend a choice of options.
